Share the journey....no matter what.

A few months ago, we started to document our journey as a company, through vlogs. If you don’t know who we are or what we do, go and check out the first vlog at the bottom of this article #cheekyplug

We opened our doors and started sharing parts of our agency life, that most sane agencies would never do. Forget all that - we just did it.

The good times, the bad times and everything in between. We’d been toying at the idea of vlogging for far too long and as we all know, if you don’t do, you’ll never find out if it was worth it or not. So we got stuck in.

We saw an opportunity, as a new business to share our experiences, our plans, ambitions and goals, with anyone who would listen and we wanted to learn from those who would.

Now, whilst I wish we had hundreds of thousands of people watching our content, we didn’t and don't… so with very little filter to what we shared, we started ball rolling. Putting that first vlog out, you never really know what to expect.

Would anyone watch it, would anyone comment and would all the effort be worth it (we put a lot of effort into each vlog, if you see the standard of filming, shout out to our videographers Nick and Ben). There's a lot of fear when waiting for feedback and putting yourself online, no matter how big or small you are, you're open to it....from anyone and everyone. You could get love, hate, criticism, respect, anger, resentment, inspiration.....and that could just be in one comment.

People in modern times seek and want instant gratification and that’s part of the reason people give up and stop. You release a video and nobody watches, you get some bad feedback, you stop. The absolute worst thing you can do is stop!

We’d get messages from people such as “Are you really going to share that?” “I can’t believe you shared that!” …. yes, yes we are. Rightly or wrongly, we did.

We’re now 22 vlogs deep (that’s gone quickly) and we’ve done a lot. We’ve been all over the world, pitching to clients, winning business, losing business, we’ve succeed and failed, but we’ve shown it. We've never learnt so much, and realised we knew so little, about so much, in such a short space of time :')

It’s a long road to build an audience, especially an audience that means something, rather than just a subscriber number and we’re at the very start and we're not going to stop.
