Skinnydip x Pride - HATE SUCKS
What a month July has been and it’s not even finished yet! Here at Skinnydip HQ we’ve been busier than ever this month. Not only has it been our second launch of Swim Society in collaboration with Montana Brown, but July also marked our first Hate Sucks take over where we took over the White Space building in Leicester Square both inside and out to celebrate Pride month with our #BeyondTheRainbow campaign.
We teamed up with three LGBTQ+ activists and gave them the creative freedom to design a range of t-shirts and tote bags in which 100% of all profits went to their chosen charities - UK Black Pride, Mind Out and Diversity Role Models. Not only did we have a huge turnout of over 1600 visitors throughout our four-day Pride event, but we also raised a whopping £7,000 (and counting!) for some seriously amazing causes.
Whilst our event catered for all those ‘instagrammable’ moments, our main focus was to create a safe space for members of the LGBTQ+ community to have fun, feel welcome and most importantly to feel accepted. Our team have poured their heart and souls into this Hate Sucks event, exploring the real meaning #BeyondTheRainbow and with the feedback we’ve received it well and truly showed.
