‘Slow Burn’ Co-Creator Leon Neyfakh and Prologue Projects Partner With Pushkin Industries to Bring ‘Fiasco’ Series to Listeners

Leon Neyfakh , co-creator of the hit podcast Slow Burn and co-founder of Prologue Projects , is partnering with Pushkin Industries to bring multiple seasons of his Fiasco series to listeners. Previously available exclusively behind a paywall, Fiasco transports listeners into the day-to-day reality of our country's most pivotal historical events, bringing to life the forgotten twists and turns of the past while shedding light on the present.

Premiering ahead of the 2024 U.S. presidential election, the Bush v. Gore season recounts what happened during the contested 2000 election between Al Gore and George W. Bush, and the extraordinary legal battle that unfolded in Florida in the aftermath of Election Day.

“I couldn’t be more excited about partnering with Pushkin to bring these seasons of Fiasco to a wider audience,” said Neyfakh. “Bush v. Gore was the first podcast my colleagues and I made after leaving Slow Burn, and part of me was a little worried about listening back to it because I was sure there’d be a million things we’d want to change. Instead I found a podcast that my team and I remain incredibly proud of, and we’re thrilled to be bringing it back into the world on the eve of the 2024 election.”

Additional seasons of Fiasco, including Iran-Contra — the story of a secret war, a secret arms deal, and a scandal that threatened to destroy Ronald Reagan’s presidency — and Benghazi — in which the death of an American diplomat gave rise to a hyper-partisan scandal that changed the course of American politics — will be available to stream in April and September 2025 respectively.

Pushkin Industries will also distribute an audiobook anthology based on Fiasco: The Battle for Boston, which tells the story of the movement to desegregate Boston’s public schools and the racial backlash that followed. It will be released February 4, 2025 on Pushkin.fm, Audible, Apple Books, Spotify, and wherever audiobooks are sold.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Leon to make his brilliant Fiasco series available for all listeners,” said Pushkin CEO Gretta Cohn . “We’ve been fans for many years and are eager to share the lessons from each season that resonate so powerfully today.”

Start listening to Fiasco: Bush v. Gore on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, or anywhere listeners access podcasts. Pushkin+ subscribers can binge the entire season on the very first day.
