TikTok Just Partnered with UnitedMasters!

TikTok is going all-in on music with a big new partnership with UnitedMasters, a distribution hub for indie artists. This means TikTok now has access to UnitedMasters' entire catalogue, giving those musicians a chance to reach millions of users while also opening up new commercial options for artists through TikTok’s Commercial Music Library.

With TikTok already known for boosting music trends, this partnership could help new artists get their big break and even revive older hits. Plus, it’s great news for creators who can now access an even wider selection of music to enhance their content, helping them reach the next trending sound.

I’m really excited about TikTok’s new partnership with UnitedMasters because it’s going to give brands so many more options when it comes to music for their campaigns. With access to a massive catalogue of indie tracks, brands can incorporate a wider variety of sounds into their content, helping them connect with different audiences and stay on top of emerging trends.
Music has always been such a powerful way to engage users on TikTok, and with even more options available, brands can tap into new, fresh sounds that will resonate with consumers. Having a broader music selection allows brands to be more creative and authentic in their messaging.

LinkedIn’s AI Hiring Assistant

LinkedIn has introduced a new Hiring Assistant that uses AI to streamline recruiting. This tool helps HR pros generate a shortlist of potential candidates, schedule interviews, take notes, and manage follow-ups. The assistant is designed to reduce admin time so that recruiters can focus on hiring and team building instead. It’s AI stepping in to make recruitment smoother and faster for busy teams!

LinkedIn’s new AI Hiring Assistant can save recruiters time by handling tasks like shortlisting candidates and scheduling interviews, but it may risk missing the human touch in evaluating cultural fit or assessing soft skills.

Get to Work

To ensure your social media efforts are financially effective, focus on key metrics that help track performance and optimise budget allocation. One essential metric to monitor is Social Return on Investment (ROI):

Social ROI Formula: Social ROI = (Return - Investment) / Investment * 100

  • Return: The revenue generated from your social media campaigns (this can include direct sales, leads, or any other form of monetary gain.)
  • Investment: The total amount you’ve spent on social media marketing (ads, content creation, influencer partnerships, etc.).

By calculating your Social ROI, you can assess the financial effectiveness of your social media strategy. Regularly analyse and optimise this metric to ensure your campaigns are not just engaging your audience, but also driving measurable financial returns. Tracking your ROI will help you identify opportunities to reduce inefficiencies and get the most value from every pound spent on social media.
