CGI Fridays

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last year, you’ve probably noticed what feels like a mountain of FOOH {Fake Out Of Home) ads. For context we’re talking about Big Ben wrapped in a puffer jacket, tube carriages and buses with giant eyelashes and bags ‘driving’ on the streets during Fashion Week.

However, in a sea of OOH, up steps Boots. A brand willing to usurp the whole FOOH trend to bring it to life in a real way.

Introducing their immersive billboard, a beauty product display that’s so extra, one of the perfume bottles even sprays out moisture. Yes, you read that right. This OOH stunt supports their beauty expansion campaign and is aligned with more “traditional” billboards that deliver experiences.

Boots shared the news on Instagram, where it earned nearly 100k views. Let’s talk about the appeal factor. Boots took a tired trend and twisted it into something fresh. With

everyone tired of the CGI gimmicks, Boots flipped the script by bringing the "unreal" into reality.

No CGI can compete with an actual perfume bottle spraying a real scent. Hats off to Boots for taking a well-worn trend and making it bigger, better, and, dare we say, more real.
