SOMETIMES THE UNIVERSE CONSPIRES

Truly, truly, I tell you, when a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit (John 12:24)

First, I must confess that this is not what I had planned to write about today... Leo ni Furahiday! Deep Inspirational Stories are usually kicked to the left. "Wait for Sunday!" My Crazy alter ego tells my guardian angel. Today belongs to us, mad hatters. But this headline has refused to leave my mind so I have written it down san I am waiting to see what words will pour out of me. Stories tell themselves, all you need to do as a storyteller is to give your stories room to grow.

I AM ENOUGH

So when I began my journey back to me earlier this year, I was apprehensive about putting myself out there again after disappearing from the face of the digital timeline. I had simply vanished into a gaping black hole that, for a while there, threatened to squeeze me into oblivion until my pal Hannah Gitonga-Mwangi shared a piece of wisdom. You are a diamond in the rough and God is squeezing off the rough edges so that you can come into your true self. Pressure must be applied so that we can shine again, devoid of our personal baggage effects. So she told me to Let go, and Let God! Relinquish your burdens at the cross, stop carrying them around with you. And so Love Lifted Me. Her love and that of many others who saw through my pain.

I HAVE A MISSION

So I ceded the real estate in my head that I had been hanging onto for so long and released my passions into God's care and then I began to see the miracle of change. It did not happen overnight, but it happened. You see, The God I serve is Timely. If He was human, I think he would be a Logistician like my earthly father, #GeneralMurunga." Just in time" is God's mantra. He never arrives before His appointed hour, and He only fulfills what is required in that moment. He never takes away all our problems, because pressure refines purpose. Our struggles are not in vain, embrace them.

So, while I may have thought that 3 years of self-exile was time lost. I want to put it to you now that my time alone was not lost. The Carpenter shapes the wood; the Potter molds the clay. In what world do we think that we can reverse those roles? Let God do God's Things; The Miracles are his domain; we are but vessels through whom His works are made known. We are His Messengers, His Conduits. It is the ultimate act of faith to believe that He has got your back, always, and he will make you prosper. So I here I am, Lord, Send Me! That others may see you through me.

EARNED VS GIVEN

Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him, They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream, It does not fear when the heat comes, its leaves are always green. It has no fear in a year of drought, and it never fails to bear fruit.

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? "I, the LORD, search the heart and examine the mind to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve." Jeremiah 17: 7-10         

REFRAMING FAILURE

They will rebuild the ancient ruins; they will restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations Isaiah 61:4

We are not our failures, and though they may threaten to define us, it is the purity of purpose derived from these experiences that will make us whole again. He is the Refiners Fire! Two songs speak to this truth in a way that is hard to deny. In his song, The Worship Anthem, "Kama Si We" Kanjii Mbugua declares that he would be lost without God. And He propers under God's Banner. That is me to a tee. In another Worship release, speak about God's Provision in their song #Jireh. God always comes through. If God said it, I believe it!

LOVE BUILDS

Love is defined thus; a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. A feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as that for a parent, child, or friend.

So step away from your fear and sow seeds of love. It will require you to be vulnerable with the people you choose to love, but it will also free you to discover your true place in this world, where you can live a purpose-driven life.

NO LONGER AT WAR

Now that we are no longer at war with ourselves, we can step into our true leadership roles. God wants to use you to impact the people you love and the communities you live in. But we must first do the work on ourselves before we can begin to affect others. We cannot pour out of an empty vessel... so fill your cup with love until it overflows. Then Bless someone else today
