Start 2023 with Clarity, Purpose & Intention
Happy New Year! I am so grateful to wake up to another beautiful day, starting with a freshly brewed cup of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee which may or may not have had a tups of Rum Cream (mhhmmm).
For those that may be new to this newsletter, the goal was to have a bi-weekly newsletter where I would share tips and actionable next steps to build a better personal and professional #personalbrand.
If I got 4 newsletters out this year, I'm still going to call that a win for me - because life was definitely "life-ing" over the last 2 years (can I get an Amen). It made me think about the fact that we could have the best intentions, write down all the goals and still not have them crossed off at the end of the year.
But guess what - that's okay. Because during the process we may have accomplished new goals that were never even on the list, we may have had goals in 2022, that didn't even really serve our true purpose, and in between it all, we were still growing and becoming who we are truly meant to be.
So since we are on the topic of goals, I wanted to share with you the method that I use to really ease into the New Year - in a more relaxed state, and at my own pace. So I may start the process today or maybe tomorrow or maybe even next week - we have a whole year ahead - and that's okay.
Here are my 8 steps to starting a New Year 🥳

3. An Attitude of Gratitude - make a note of all the things you were grateful for in 2023. If you can read this newsletter, you have plenty to be grateful for.
4. Goal Setter - make a note of the goals you had for 2022 - what was or was not accomplished, any new ones that made the list, what needs to go over to 2023, and what needs to be scrapped all together.
5. Goal Dump - List 50 goals and then break them down to you top 10, 5 and 3. Set a timeline and include your why behind each goal.
6. Make the Vision Plain - use your top 10 to create your vision board, don't put a year - and ensure to place it somewhere visible to your every day.
7. Take Action - think of the 1st step that you could take that would get you closer to this goal. Who do you need to support you? If you personal branding support in 2023 - visit iamnaomigarrick.com or check out some of the 2023 services below.
8. Give yourself Grace - be kind to yourself. Make time for self-care. You didn't come this far to only come this far.
I'm still in planning mode for my Personal Branding offerings for 2023, but here are a few things you can look out for.
