SUCCESS IS NOT A RIGHT

SUCCESS IS AN ENTITLEMENT AND NOT A RIGHT.

Tom was desperately in need of cash and had an ATM card and pin with him. The account linked to the card had millions of cash in it but Tom could not get it because he did not know how to use an ATM machine.

This is the challenge with many of us today, we have access to loads of success but our ignorance is stopping us from getting it.

Always remember that the more you know, the more you realize that you don’t know.

We are all entitled to unlimited success and wealth but our ignorance and sometimes lack of efforts to move out of this ignorance keeps us in poverty, lack and failure.

Everything that keeps you down is ignorance, in fact I believe that the more we move into higher dimensions of knowledge and wisdom the higher we will get to move off the ground literarily.

Just like ignorance so is ‘right’ an issue keeping us from success. A demented man feels that he has the right to any woman of his choice, that is why he rapes the next one that turns him down. A Muslim fanatic feels he a has a right to kill anyone who does not serve his own God.

Note that we have a right to life, a right to family, good health, religion, education and so many other things but success/wealth is not a right, it is an entitlement, that is it is there already, we just have to grow into it or develop into it, we have to move out of ignorance and empower ourselves into success.

An entitlement means its already there, a child born into royalty is entitled to the throne but the king is the one with the right to the throne. But if that child likes it or not, even after a complete blood transfusion, that child is still royalty and entitled to the throne and has a potential of becoming a king in future. But you and I know that that is not the end of the journey, the child is groomed out of its ignorance and trained in all the skills to become a king so that when that day comes, the child just seems naturally a born king, the crowd will not be aware of the years of preparation for that throne.

Just like the new Prince born to the royal family, so are we all born to wealth and success but we have to be prepared for it, the more we move out of ignorance, the more we get successful and wealthy.

Note that I was careful with my words, I did not use riches but wealth, and success is relative; success is what you say it is, if you see success as waking up alive every day, so it is. When you are rich, you have excess of money, but when you are wealthy, you don’t necessary have excess of money but whatever life impacting item you have, you have far more than enough for yourself and you don’t just have but share the wealth around.

Being wealthy means discovering your purpose in life and living in that purpose. Being wealthy means setting and leaving a positive legacy that lasts for generations to come, being wealthy means to have a name that gives influence, a name that represents true human values like integrity and love. Being wealthy includes having riches but not just that alone, riches is only one of the hundreds of traits of being wealthy. Mother Teresa could not be defined as rich but she was very wealthy. A very popular footballer like Ronaldo who lives his passion is not just wealthy but rich also.

TAKING YOUR ENTITLEMENT

Just like the prince, you have to start developing the skill set required to take your entitlement. Some of the necessary steps to achieve this is as outlined below, but please note that this list is not exhaustive, please add to it.

Take active part in self-development, read, study, read. Dedicate at least thirty minutes of your day to reading a book, magazine, newspaper. Give at least ten days of your year to training, spend at least five minutes of your day to prayer and meditation.

Appreciate nature and fellow man, nature was made for us and not the other way around, but nature loves only those that loves it back, treat nature right and nature will love you back. All men are not equal but we all have one same destination which is the grave, all men same before God, the only difference is your belief and value system, if you value fellow men as they were all made by God, heaven will line up behind you and success and riches is one of the by-products of heavenly alignment behind you.

Have a vision that is far bigger than you, let it be something that you alone can never achieve; if you alone can achieve your mission then it’s not a true vision and will not lead you into wealth and empowerment. Let your passion drive you. What is that challenge you are having, it will surprise you that there are millions of other people having same challenge around the world, don’t just solve yours, solve theirs too. What is that scenario that breaks your heart, who is that person you want to help? there are loads more of them out there, start touching them one at a time and bring others into that fold of helpers and you are on your way.

Look for how and what to impact in the lives of others around you. Solve a problem even it means at a reasonable profit. Uber provided a better way of transport, Ali Baba provided online shopping, Google provides information, what is yours? Will it be next? Why have you not written that next book yet? We can now blog or Vlog if book writing seems cumbersome, share that knowledge and information.

Improve daily in your capacity to communicate and practice it till it becomes you. The greatest cause of conflict and breakdown worldwide is communication, the first step to stardom and greatness is communication, lives have been saved and wasted through communication, life entirely is about communication, get perfection at communication and you perfect life.

Share your message via every available media. Learn to develop others into your big vision and learn to run with them. Life is not about the number of ‘followers’ you have, but about the number of leaders you create. Grow leaders and get wealthy, grow followers and die of frustration.

Note that there is no upper limit to wealth or to the number of people that can be wealthy/successful but there are just not enough people stepping into it. Riches are a subset of wealth; the ultimate is wealth.

Develop management, leadership and financial management skills, you can’t go far without these, it has been the reason behind the demise of many shining stars, don’t let It be the reason for yours. Learn to use other people’s time, learn to use their money wisely, learn to be very emotionally intelligent. Note that there are no dull persons, it’s just that some people pay less attention to their books.

Never think lack but be open to limitless opportunities and ideas. Knowledge has no upper limit.

Think beyond time and space and act same and you will grow into it. When you grow into it, it becomes you.

Live in humility that all you know is just the beginning and stay humble. Wealth gotten on the wings of revenge is limited to and ends at the revenge scene if you ever make it there. Wealth derived from empowerment is endless.

In summary, be empowered to get wealth and success.
