Sunshine, sports days and school reports

Sunshine, sports days and school reports

Hi there!

Everyone is talking about the weather, and I for one am glad the subject has changed from covid or the government to the good old british weather! In no time we will be back to complaining about the rain, but for now, we're looking forward to the next downpour - or at least our gardens are!

I have to say that I was quite relieved that Thursday seemed to cloud over here somewhat as we had our daughters school sports day and were sat out in the fields! It was a lovely event, not competitive as she's so young but I have to admit that watching the older children compete made me feel sick with memories of my school sports days which I absolutely dreaded!! I'm really happy that on Monday when the school are having a parents sports day (what the heck!) that I already have other plans (if I didn't I'd be fabricating some pretty quickly!!)

So tell me, sports day - love them or hate them?

In my world

With the end of term approaching fast, everything in the Manville household seems to be around school events, and I for one am grateful that I'm self employed ancd can juggle things around to enable me to attend things. Last Friday was the summer fair, with my husband as Chair, I helped out where I could in the setting up, running of stalls and packing down - clocking up 15,000 steps and also winning a holiday in the raffle!

This week has all been about sports - with my daughter achieving her Level 2 swimming certificate (and moving up to the big pool - this is a big deal!) and her sports day on Thursday.  and today is school reports day!

I've also managed to confirm our plans for the summer holidays so that's a huge weight off my mind! I hope that your summer plans are well underway and you've found some time to book in a well deserved break.

5 things to do before hiring a virtual assistant

While our waiting list is open for anyone looking to hire a VA in September, that makes now a good time to start considering whether a VA is the next person you need on your team.

Our blog talks you through what to consider, and if the time is right then please jump on the waiting list and let's have a chat in the Autumn.

TOP TIP FOR THE WEEK

Have you heard of Find Time? As an MS365 user you have access to this in your toolkit. If you are currently using Doodle or something similar to help you find a mutually convenient date for a meeting with more than two people, this is a great alternative way to do it from directly from within Outlook.

Do recipients also need to have FindTime installed?

Nope! Your friends and colleagues only need an email address and Internet access in order to be a recipient.

Can I send invites to people who don’t use Office 365?

Yes! You can send a FindTime invite to anyone with an email address. Only organisers are required to be on Office 365.

"I contacted Joanne as I was struggling to find time for social media scheduling and routine updates to blog posts on my websites. With Natasha's help, posts on my websites are being updated much quicker than I could have done them.

It's taken a weight off my mind knowing I don't have to add tasks to my own to-do list where they may sit for weeks, making me feel guilty.

It has been a relief to delegate tasks and focus more on the creative elements of my work."

I hope you've found this week's content useful, thank you for giving me a little of your time to share my tips with you.
