Taming Your Inner Dragons: Awakening Potentials And Conquering Fears
I love dragons 🐲. There is something mystical and mythical nature which allures me. Whenever, I imagine a dragon, the picture that comes to my mind is a powerful dragon breathing fire.
All the fictions depict dragons as powerful creatures. Dragons hold various meanings in various cultures.

Chinese New Year falls on 10/2/24 and it is Year of Dragon. So, in honour of Chinese New Year of Dragon and to celebrate, let us talk about the dragons, we encounter in our everyday life.
Earth Dragon: Identifying Your Dragons
It's no surprise that within us lie numerous dragons—potentials, fears, limiting beliefs, and the forces of self-doubt. Some are dormant, awaiting awakening; others need taming or conquering.
Earth dragons wield powerful claws, anchoring themselves to the ground with keen eyesight. Embrace your inner earth dragon—develop reflective skills, recognize your strengths, and acknowledge your fears and challenges. Understand the landscape you currently navigate.
Fear not confronting your dragons. To master them, you must first know them. Identify and acknowledge your inner obstacles—only then can you learn to awaken or conquer them.
As you recognize your dragons, you empower yourself to navigate the terrain of your own potential. The earth dragon within you is both resilient and insightful—qualities that will guide you as you embark on this transformative adventure of awakening and conquering. 🌿🌏🐲
Fire Dragon: Awakening Potentials and Inner Strength
It is time to turn on our Fire Dragon. As fire dragon breathes fire, our focus is to kindle the dormant spark within, exploring hidden potentials, talents, and strengths relevant to the demanding healthcare landscape.
The fire dragon breath is filled with dynamic, vibrant energy similar to our reservoirs of inner energy. It is time uncover those layers and bring it out.
Start by setting practical goals aligned with your professional passions. Clear objectives provide direction and purpose, propelling you forward in your healthcare journey. Embrace continuous learning, unveiling untapped potentials with each new piece of knowledge to enhance your skills in healthcare practice.
Build a supportive community, a network that shares the warmth of collective experience. Engaging with like-minded healthcare professionals fosters an environment where ideas and aspirations can be collectively kindled, enhancing your professional flame.
Lastly, practice self-reflection as a tool for ongoing professional development. Regular introspection allows you to identify areas of improvement and ensures a sustained blaze of inner strength, essential for healthcare professionals facing the challenges of the field. 🔥👩⚕️🐉
Water Dragon: Mastering Fears and Breaking Limitations
In the realm of the Water Dragon, imagine the fluidity of its essence. As the dragon streams water, it unleashes a powerful, adaptable force that flows with unyielding flexibility. Much like water, healthcare professionals encounter challenges that demand resilience and adaptability. When water becomes a landscape, it flows; when it reaches a mountain's peak, it cascades as a waterfall; when faced with a ravine, it pierces through. Ultimately, as it meets the vast sea, it attains a state of peace, becoming one with the expansive waters.
When confronted with fears and limiting beliefs, embody the Water Dragon's essence. Visualise becoming a forceful, gushing water dragon, cutting through obstacles with the same vigor and adaptability that water exhibits in overcoming varied landscapes.
When the fear and self-doubt rumbles, embrace a moment of mindfulness. Inhale deeply, acknowledging your fears, and exhale, releasing tension. Imagine exhaling the force of a powerful waterfall, washing away doubts and limitations.

As a healthcare professional, acknowledge that your path may have peaks and ravines. Flow through challenges, cascading down like a waterfall when needed, and pierce through obstacles with the tenacity of a flowing stream. Just like water finds peace in the sea, find solace and harmony within yourself amidst the demands of your profession. 🌊💪🐉
Air Dragon: Soaring to New Heights Through Change
Air Dragon symbolizes freedom and change. Just as a dragon soars through the open skies, our ability to let go of old habits propels us to new heights of self-discovery and accomplishment.
Trust me, I struggle every time when I have to adapt and change. However, I have learnt that change is the only constant in our life, especially in NHS. There is a new services, new contractual change thrown at us every year. We have lived through PCO to PCT to CCG to ICB (apologies for acronyms – Primary Care Organisations, Primary Care Trust, Clinical Commissioning Group and Integrated Care Board). Adjusting to these changes has helped me and us all grow both in personal and professional life. 🌬️✨🐉
Change isn't merely a disruption; it's a powerful force that clears the path for new opportunities. Just as the Chinese dragon ushers in the new year, transformation is at the heart of growth.
Conclusion:
As we reflect on the elemental journey of embracing our inner dragons, it's evident that change is the breath of life.

11moI absolutely love this Chitra. I love the way you use the dragons to identify our mind paths and that way that we can tame them. I never knew that in different cultures around the world, Dragons were seen differently. I always thought that they were creatures that needed to be slayed. So clever and so lovely. Thank you.
