Team Spotlight: Meet Amanda

Meet Amanda Perry, Influencer Marketing Analyst at Shoplazza!

Q: Why are you an Influencer Marketing Analyst?

A: I’ve always been a natural organizer and problem solver and this role requires a lot of both which I love. There are lots of moving pieces to keep organized and flowing and each day is always different and brings new challenges - there is always something new to learn.

Q: Please describe your position without using “influencer” and “marketing”.

A: I identify and build relationships with key social media accounts to collaborate with, and create content about Shoplazza. The goal is to create content that showcases Shoplaza and to highlight Shoplazza as an option for starting an online business.

Q: Please describe a challenge you’ve faced at work.

A: I’ve been with Shoplazza for just over three weeks and I’m still setting up a strategy. I foresee an issue with working with influencers because the platform is growing so quickly. It’s going to be a challenge to find influencers who have high regard for what they are marketing to their followers and be willing to learn about our constantly expanding functionality at the same time. I’m not sure how I’m going to face this challenge yet, but conveying the passion that we have for Shoplazza definitely seems like a good place to start!

Q: Where do you find inspiration for your work?

A: I find a lot of inspiration from individuals who are embracing the “hustle” mentality whether it be a side hustle to make ends meet or build additional wealth or launching a full-time business. There are so many people out there starting their own businesses and seeing in successful people the willingness to share knowledge with others, to help and inspire others to do it for themselves, has certainly been a constant source of strength for me in my work.

Q: What are three things that people may not know about you?

A: I’m a mom to 3 cats, 1 dog and I have a 2-year-old daughter. I’ve always been interested in owning my own store. It was my dream in high school and university, so I feel like it resonates a lot with my role. I also try to start my day with 15 mins of yoga every morning - it just makes me feel like I’m starting my day off right.
