Tearing the Paper Ceiling With Apprenticeships

Tearing the Paper Ceiling With Apprenticeships

National Apprenticeship Week,  takes place every year in mid-November — but seems to have an extra boost of energy this year. As policymakers and employers embrace the potential of new models that more closely connect learning and work, Opportunity@Work and our ”Tear the Paper Ceiling” campaign partners are doing critical work to support apprenticeships as a pathway to economic opportunity for workers who are Skilled Through Alternative Routes (STARs). In fact, many of our partners in the campaign are already using apprenticeships to help STARs access career opportunities, including Accenture, Byte Back, Google, IBM, LinkedIn, and SHRM.

This week, we’re excited to share the many events and resources that we and our partners are working on together to highlight the role apprenticeships can play in tearing the paper ceiling. Check out the details below, and hope to see you over the course of the week!
