TechShare Belgium kicks off !

Today we welcomed a group of 13 highly motivated Belgian entrepreneurs at the stock exchange to kick-start the fifth edition of TechShare, Euronext’s educational and mentoring programme designed to familiarise high-potential European tech companies with capital markets.

We are really proud to have been able to gather such a diversified cohort of entrepreneurs ranging from (small) biotech companies to leading sales and marketing solutions providers. With participants such as Miracor Medical, Septentrio, Herculean and Showpad, we can say that our “line-up” is quite impressive. These tech companies are different in size, sectors and activities, but all share the same entrepreneurial spirit and eagerness to grow their business, no matter which obstacles come across their way. That’s also why we have invited alumni of the previous edition to share experiences and network among peers facing the same challenges. Ron Schuermans of Playpass gave a strong testimony as alumnus of the programme encouraging the new cohort to take the best out TechShare with the technical sessions and the networking.

During today’s session, we jumped into the subject matter with a “serious game” on the preparation of the road to the IPO. Participants had to take the best decisions for a fictive IPO. Everyone got out of the exercise with new insights about the listing process. Today’s meeting was also the perfect occasion for us to get to know each other before the “more formal” part of TechShare starts at the official launch next week at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. 

TechShare started four years ago in France, Belgium, Portugal and the Netherlands with 30 companies. Now our pre-IPO programme is a widely renown educational initiative with around 120+ companies from 8 countries and 100+ partners from the financial industry, whose expertise and know-how are truly instrumental to the success of this programme.
