The Temple Steps: A path to Transformation
In the heart of a bustling village, nestled amongst emerald rice paddies, a fervent whisper spread like wildfire: a temple was to be built, a beacon of devotion to the heavens. A master sculptor, renowned for his gentle hands and discerning eye, was chosen to breathe life into the village's idol. He arrived, ten stones cradled in his calloused palms, each imbued with the potential for divinity.
He approached the first stone, a smooth, grey monolith. As his chisel poised to strike, a tremor ran through the rock, followed by a gasp, "Please, don't hurt me! I am content as I am." Startled, the sculptor lowered his tools, respecting the stone's plea. This scene unfolded with each stone, each pleading its own version of "I am good enough." Some cried of their fear of change, others clung to their familiar form.
Finally, the sculptor stood before the tenth stone, a rugged hunk of granite, its surface rough and unyielding. As the chisel met stone, a cry pierced the air, but unlike the others, it held no resistance, only a resolute acceptance of pain. Stroke by stroke, the sculptor chipped away, revealing the divine spark hidden within. Days bled into nights, sweat mingling with dust, until a magnificent idol emerged, its form radiating serenity and grace.
The villagers gasped in awe as the idol was placed within the newly built temple. But a hush fell upon them as they noticed the nine untouched stones, now forming the steps leading to the sanctum. Every villager who approached the temple, their heads bowed in prayer, trod upon the stones that had chosen comfort over transformation.

Did this resonate with recent events? Perhaps. But the sculptor, his brow furrowed in contemplation, saw a deeper truth. He understood that change, though often painful, was the crucible that forged greatness. The ten stones, each a representation of a choice, whispered a timeless message: what got you here won't get you there. True growth, true divinity, lay in embracing the chisel and allowing yourself to be sculpted, even if it meant enduring the sting of transformation.
From then on, the temple became not just a place of worship, but a silent teacher, reminding everyone who walked its steps: sometimes, the most beautiful journeys begin with a single, courageous decision to change. And as the sculptor continued his journey, his heart brimming with newfound wisdom, he knew his hammer and chisel held not just the power to shape stone, but also the potential to awaken the divine within each soul willing to embrace the transformation.
