We've all seen them, we're all concerned and we all think about what we can trust and what not in these times of fantastic AI tools.

Those of you who know me better, know that I'm preaching the re-education of our sixth senses, our intuition and the guidance from our higher self.

I think in the long run, it will be our only chance to identify the truth - or is it?

Here's an example of how AI is used to identify deep fakes in the US elections.

Ready for some Good News?

A new Artificial Intelligence Task Force is leading the charge against AI-generated deep fakes and misinformation in US elections.

Spearheaded by secretaries of state from Arizona, Michigan, and Minnesota, this coalition is developing innovative tools and best practices to combat AI threats to the democratic process.

Their proactive approach includes implementing new legislation, conducting tabletop exercises to train election clerks, and launching public information campaigns to raise awareness about AI-related risks.

The efforts are already bearing fruit, with Michigan passing a law making the distribution of deceptive deep fakes a felony and requiring AI-generated political advertisements to include disclaimers.

This initiative, supported by the NewDEAL forum, is fostering collaboration between state and local elected officials to harness AI's potential while safeguarding democratic institutions.

With at least 40 states introducing AI regulation legislation, this task force is at the forefront of ensuring election integrity and empowering voters to be critical consumers of information in the digital age.
