"Thank You" Is An Understatement

"Thank You" Is An Understatement

So, I woke up another year older today. 45 successful trips around the sun and here I sit having coffee and just staring out the window reflecting on my life to this point.

Life is a crazy thing sometimes when you truly sit and think about all of the people you've come in contact, all of the conversations. The frustration, the joy, the surprises, the tests, and the accomplishments.

There is so much to be proud of in our lives, but we sometimes get caught up in the day to day and lose sight of what we have and how grateful we should be for so many things.

If I went into everything and everyone that I am thankful for, we'd be here for quite a while. Longer than binge watching all of the Marvel movies in fact.

But what I will say is this, I am most grateful for two buckets of people:

The Challengers

We often forget to give credit to those who challenge who we are or help us remember exactly who we are. The negative people, the naysayers, the ridiculers, and the arrogant ones. These are the people who help us grow in situations where they're trying to do the opposite.

I'm most grateful to anyone and everyone who's ever doubted me, including myself, because it's taught me many things. Mainly that I have a hell of a lot of worth and I'm proud of my crossroads where my mind, heart, and voice collaborate. I'm not saying I've always been right, nor am I saying I will never be wrong again, but I have learned so much about myself and what I stand for due to them.

So, I say a genuine, heartfelt thank you. I am better today because of you.

The Supporters

There is literally no way I can thank those who support me. I don't care if you have me in your network and forgot how we connected, but still like my content, or if you're one of my best friends, or if you're somewhere in-between, every second you spend supporting me means more than you'll ever know.

There are nearly 8 billion people in this world. Plenty of people to know, care about, and want to invest your time in. There are also countless people creating content so there are PLENTY of options out there, yet, I have thousands who choose to spend their time listening to, reading, and watching me. It means the absolute world to me and I just hope that you find joy, inspiration, and self-improvement through what I do.

Add in the confidants, the colleagues, the friends, the family who have celebrated with me in great times and been there unconditionally in not so great times, and you can consider me hands down one of the luckiest people in the world.

I am so grateful for each and every one of you.

I know I'm a bit wordy at this point, but I just want to say thank you.

I know it's an understatement, but it's all I can come up with at this point.

Just know that I'm not done by a long shot. I consider myself in my prime and I look forward to being better every single day for you because of your belief in me.

Cheers!
