The world breaks every one but only a few learn to be strong even after breaking. In life, no one is bereft of pain, hardships, struggles, suffering obstacles, grief and adversity. All of us break at some and many points. When broken many feel helpless, give up and breakdown, while few persevere with resilience & grit to RISE again and breakthrough.

Truth be told, all of us have the power to #BreakThrough ,but many of us don’t act on it.

1. #DhanyaRavi

Dhanya Ravi is born with a rare genetic disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI). She is known as India's glass women. She is a recipient of State and National awards. She is a TEDx and JoshTalk speaker as well. She works as a specialist for EnAble India. During the lockdown, she has been part of many webinars for college students and cooperates, and has spoken on topics like inclusivity, mental health, social responsibility etc. Dhanya has addressed more than 7000 people globally. She has personally inspired many differently abled people to improve their lives and careers. Currently, she is active in mobilization and sensitization for OI, rare diseases and disability community individually and in collaboration with different non-profit organizations (NGOs) in India and USA. She Advocates for a more inclusive society and strives to raise awareness about rare genetic conditions. Dhanya is also one of the founder trustees of an in-house NGO Aasmaan Foundation Trust (2020 - Present) and volunteers audio reading for persons with visual impairments. Her life stories and her experience of meeting different people around the globe through the Disability Awareness and Advocacy Program have brought her many testimonials. The women community has found a source of power to live a life of Independency by her life message and mentorship.

2. #SunithaAtinus

Sunita, a young physiotherapist, suffered multiple injuries in a nightmarish crash; the most prominent of them being on her face. Her life, unsurprisingly, was turned upside down after this. But despite the trials of these injuries, Sunitha’s resolve to live a normal and enjoyable life is steadfast. A desire to be alive is all you need to stay alive, and by making every day a celebration. She lives a blessed life with 2 kids, a pup, and a loving husband. A hearty way of helping people in need whenever and wherever possible amid a busy life schedule is something she is very happy about. A bit of her entrepreneurial journey brought out the creative educator in her where she works with her husband on life craft. She is adamant about living life at its fullest and best on her terms.

3. #Meena

Meena is a professional cab driver in Delhi NCR in a company called company called “Sakha” that specialises in services in women drivers only. She fought patriarchal system and an abusive marriage to live a life of dignity through her struggle and breakdown but she is so full of resilience and tenacity and feels she can do anything anytime that the world feels should be only for men. Her aspirations are such an inspiration to all yet rooted in grounding and never saying never !

4. #AbosedeOladayo (#Bose)

Bose is Advisory board member, blogger and a Global Ambassador for Well Project Community. The Well Project is a non-profit organization based in the United States of America, whose mission is to change the course of the HIV/AIDS pandemic through a unique and comprehensive focus on women and girls. The Well Project, envisions a world in which women living with or vulnerable to HIV have the information, support, and tools they need to advocate for their health and well-being, and live free from stigma.

5. #NamrataKhetan

Namrata is an event management professional and a home maker. She fought the patriarchal system within her confines to emerge as a strong woman who paved her path to find her strengths, likes and her dislikes to live a fruitful life . She says never compromise with your dignity and what feels right to you as a woman .

6. #AbhaKhetarpal

Abha is the President, Cross the Hurdles, National Award Winner & 100 Women Achiever Awardee, Henry Viscardi Achievement Awardee 2019, Member Sexual Harassment Committee

Department of Disability Affairs, Government of India. Abha has lived resilience through her childhood and feels being strong is a choice . As a person with disability since very young age, she said No and Never literally Never .She says When I sit back and reflect on my life, I realise that my disability has become, as Neil Marcus has said, ‘an ingenious way to live.’ I customise everyday thing to suit my abilities.

7. #MeenaGupta

Meena Gupta has spent last thirty years as a Counsellor, Trainer and Therapist, using a unique integrated and customised approach for treating various issues of mind and body depending on the need of the individual. Her work is based on several contemporary and constantly evolving therapy techniques such as Clinical Hypnotherapy, Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP), Bio-feedback, Music Therapy and Art Therapy, Ego State Therapy , Rapid Eye Movement Therapy , Trauma Tapping Technique and Havening Technique , which have enabled her to go beyond counselling and beyond words to actually make a positive impact on clients. Couples ,children and young adults have been her special focus group where these therapies, used in suitable combinations, have been particularly useful and effective.
