These tights were made for walking
Outfits focusing on leg wear are hot right now, as tights are the star of this seasons fashion shows. Once serving to compliment a look, now they ARE the look. So, pull up your socks for A/W 2016.
Libertine's models strutted their stuff in sparkling tights, a Haberdasher's dream of pearls, sequins and lace. Fantastical and romantic leg designs, like a walking fairytale. House of Holland also added some sparkles to the equation with glittery, softer hued tights, accompanied with a glittery jacket to add to the shine statement. However, it isn't all about harmony and tights don't have to match, as seen on Zimmerman's graphic fest of a colourful leg and a different, but equally loud, accompanying dress.
Anna Sui's gorgeous floral legs looked fab against floral outfits. Layers of floral all happening at the same time, with a repetition floral on the neck to pick up the design of the tights. The great thing about tights is their power to be the statement piece of a look. But, they were also seen directly threading the entire wardrobe together too. Tights matching a dress or a scarf of the same design, were seen on the runways of Tanya Taylor. Marc Jacobs' tights were black and white stripey.
