Time to de-politicize the Supreme Court by recognizing the role of politics?

Political consderations are not going away, so the best way to mitigate this is to recognize it through the decision making process. Here are some proposals that have been floated which help achieve this:

1. Create a Supreme Court of 15 justices--five Republican justices, five Democratic justices, and five justices chosen by the other ten. All justice nominees are evaluated by the American Bar Association (ABA), as they used to be, and approved by simple majority vote of the Senate within a set period of time

2. Defendants have the right to choose the justices who work on their case--with an oversized court of 15 justices, the defendant has the right to choose the nine justices they want, much like defendants in criminal cases have the right to choose their jurors

3. Every four years, justices who were the least chosen are automatically and permanently dismissed, to be replaced by new justices chosen in the same manner as point one above
