THANK YOU FOR MAKING A DIFFERENCE

We received the most beautiful piece of feedback.

"Wanted to say thank you my husband was admitted to hospital this Monday 2 September he walked in but deteriorated over the next few hours. He was admitted and had lost consciousness. The next day I was told they had found cancer in 2 areas it hit me like a brick. Slowly over that evening he began to come back to me. We were given 2 gift packs from your charity from the nurses.Every item was thoughtful especially for a wife who couldn’t think or function correctly enough to think of all the things he might need! We played cards I had to be very flexible on the rules but it didn’t matter just something to do together that made us laugh.Your packs were gratefully received and very well thought out and huge big thank you. He is back home with me now he knows his diagnosis and we will get through whatever happens next together."

Everyone who contributes to the work happening at The Lewis Foundation, this is the difference you are helping to make on a daily basis in hospital settings.

This not only for those diagnosed with cancer, but loved ones to.

This is exactly why The Lewis Foundation was created to others in our community.

Thank you for all your support!

FRAN'S 1ST MARATHON COMPLETED IN MEMORY OF HER MUM

Huge congrats to Francesca Alsworth who completed her 1st ever Marathon today in aid of The Lewis Foundation last Sunday.

Fran supported us for the following reasons:

Running a marathon has been a goal of mine for so long, and I knew instantly after signing up that I wanted to use this challenge to raise money for a charity that is very close to my heart.

In February 2019, my Mum, Adrianna, was diagnosed with cancer, which she bravely fought until her death in April 2020.

Chemotherapy days and stays are long and can be lonely. I can remember the first time she received a goody pack from The Lewis Foundation, she couldn’t get over what a lovely and thoughtful idea it was.

This incredible charity were a ray of sunshine to my Mum during her chemotherapy journey at Northampton hospital. They do so much for others, and their founders work tirelessly to help those in need.

My Mum’s strength and the work of this amazing charity will get me through every step of training, and every km on race day.

Over £1500 been raised to support our work, thank you so much for making a difference- we are proud to be supported by you.

GOOD DEEDS WINNER!

Huge thank you to Swansgate Shopping Centre who have chosen us as their 'Good Deeds' Winner for October, donating £100 to our charity, to provide our free gift packs and support for adult cancer patients in hospital.

BILLY BAKER PIANO RECITAL CONCERT TO SUPPORT THE LEWIS FOUNDATION

Huge thank you to Billy Baker Piano who hosted and performed a concert in aid of The Lewis Foundation at St Matthew’s Church - Northampton.

Billy is an incredible talented pianist who gave up his time to come to Northampton to showcase his work and raise funds to support our work for adult cancer patients in hospital in the process. We were blown away by the concert, the performance was incredible.

Wonderful to also be joined by Mayor of Northampton and Mayoress who are supporting us as their chosen charity this Mayoral term.

Thank you again Billy and we look forward to working with you again soon.

WELLINGBOROUGH HOCKEY TEAM TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER

Huge thank you to the Wellingborough Hockey Club who recently held a charity day in aid of The Lewis Foundation to raise awareness and funds to support adults diagnosed with cancer in hospital.

They decided to support our charity as a number of members had seen first hand the impact of our work and the difference it makes to people whilst in the hospital setting.

Co-ordinating a number of hockey teams to take part in a tournament, it was a really successful day which raised £1026.

An incredible amount!

Thank you to every one who took part. It really does make a difference to the people on the receiving end of your kindness.

If you are fundraising for The Lewis Foundation, please get in touch: hello@thelewisfoundation.co.uk. We are more than happy to support you in your fundraising efforts and spread the word about what you are doing!
