Tobacco and Vapes Bill: Call for evidence
🔎 Do you have relevant expertise or a special interest in the Tobacco and Vapes Bill?
The Public Bill Committee are calling for evidence on this Bill. The proposed legislation aims to create a ‘smokefree generation’ and reduce the appeal and availability of vapes to young people.
➡️ The Bill would make it an offence anywhere in the UK to sell tobacco products to anyone born on or after 2009.
➡️ The Bill would aim to reduce the appeal and availability of vapes to children. The House of Commons Public Bill Committee will consider this Bill, and the Committee is able to receive written evidence.
The first sitting of the Public Bill Committee is expected to be on Tuesday 30 April and the Committee is scheduled to report by Thursday 23 May 2024. When the Committee concludes its consideration of the Bill it is no longer able to receive written evidence.
