Tools to Overcome Stress - I am playing, you can too!

Tools to Overcome Stress - I am playing, you can too!

Have you ever wondered that there are days in which you are highly productive and days when you are not? Wondering Why?

I have been in these spaces myself and I could also observe deeply, what happens inside our body when we are not productive!

Sometimes the body is just in the play and sometimes not!

The strange part is, it happens in a jiffy, and, our behaviors/responses/actions change. We just don't get to know and we fall in the patterns! Our time just moves and at the end of the day, we feel like, doing less & thinking more! Well, It's time to address this with some simple techniques.

Yes, you can do the simple techniques first to try and if it re-occurs, please reach out to NLP practitioners & they can help detect patterns & change the sub-conscious program!

If you want to practice these techniques LIVE WITH ME, I am doing an open house FREE WORKSHOP on 9th April, 2024, and sharing these techniques!

You can Register Here!

So have you ever wondered why the same work can be done in one hour and the same takes more than 4 hours at times? Barring some external environment, that is out of our control, have you noticed that our mind controls how we perform?

The external environment, for example, someone giving feedback, someone's non-verbal gesture, or a sense in the meeting room, can change how we feel internally. But are we aware that it might also create stress at times?

Stress - A shift in your body that is not helping you to perform in a situation!

Can we use simple techniques to reduce stress and improve performance?

With practice, I started becoming aware of my rate of speech, my breathing patterns, my language patterns, stiffness or lightness in my body, my temperature, etc. This helped me to focus and use techniques to perform better!

Though sounds much, trust me this is easy to achieve with step-by-step practice.

These changes in the body (which influence our performance) are caused/influenced by input!

In simple words, the behavior changes mostly based on external triggers and then there is an internal representation of the brain.

Example - You are focused at work and suddenly you hear an external sound and your focus shifts to something else.

Or an External sound - You are not doing good has given an internal sound "Yes, I am not good" and the focus has shifted!

If you observe, these are simple things though they are very powerful in changing our mind towards any direction - positive or negative? Yes, MIND CAN CHANGE TO ANY DIRECTION, where it has been trained the most! (Unconsciously)

So let's train our brain muscles to shift ourselves, reduce our daily stress, and improve our productivity every day!

Technique 1 - Shake it off

The unknown stress in your body can take up a lot of space in your head. Whenever during work you feel lost, you feel a little frustrated, or irritated, just get up from your chair and do any activity that will help you shake off the feeling.

If you are a young adult and have no challenges in physical activity, I would recommend you just jump 5-10 times, until you feel different.

You can just shake off the feelings from your body by rubbing them faster with your hands and say shake it off.

You can also choose to get up from the chair and see or hear something else.

Amongst the NLP Community, shake-off is the famous tool!

From 2014 until now, I have practiced and recommended Shake Off to so many individuals and it has been really helpful to all! Test it and let me know!

This is just one method to feel the difference, in case of re-occurrence patterns,  we need to work more deeper!

Technique 2 - Visual Disassociation

Our senses are the gates to information!

Whenever you feel stressed next time, did you observe that you feel stressed maybe by seeing someone or some digital message or information - We have so much information rolling in this world and it can distract our visual senses to something else that we don't want.

How do we manage and reduce STRESS:

If you become aware that the visual has created stress, do the below:

- Shake it off

- Put the picture of stress in front, make it small, move this small visual to any side - left or right

- Now see another picture of you being happy and focused (whatever you choose)

- Make that big and colorful

- Now throw the stress picture away and bring the big happy focused picture in front

- Do it a couple of times until you feel the difference!

- Breathe & Go back to work.

These techniques are personalized in our sessions depending on the sensory systems!

Technique 3 - Auditory Music

If you recognize the stress is due to the sound/feedback you heard, something that you didn't like, you can use another technique.

- Take a deep breath

- Focus, where is the sound distracting you coming from - left or right or center or all over

- Pick up a remote in your hand like a television remote, reduce the sound, or just mute it (illusionary as if with your hands)

- Now hear - Loud & Clear - FOCUSSSS - FOCUSSSSSS - FOCUSSSSSSS

- Breathe & get started

Do it a couple of times very strongly until it becomes a pattern.

Technique 4 - ASK - ASK - ASK

This one is my favorite and my spouse's too!

Whenever you feel stressed because of the external environment, you feel overthinking is just taking you over, ask "Is this useful today"?

Is this serving any purpose to me Now?

Is this going to help me to do any actions?

What purpose does this overthinking serve me now or tomorrow or the day after or a month or a year or many years - NOTHING!!! NOTHING!!!! REALLYYYY NOTHINGGGG!!!!!

So let's FOCUS back!!!

Technique 5 - Shake off - SMELL - SMILE- HEAR - MOVE- SMELL

This has a scientific reason too!

When you get stressed, your muscles tense, your face tightens, you might have palpitations, or many other ways to describe stress!

Olfactory - The smell doesn't have any filters! It means that the moment you smell, you are bound to think of something else, it goes directly into your brain system!

A combination of disassociation, body movements, sounds & smells can help you feel energetic and different, helping you back to FOCUS!

There are two kinds of people:

One who will be able to do this and notice the shift, though will feel that there is a re-occurrence of pattern.

One who will read and may not do it.

I insist all of you to:

  1. Do it & test what happens
  2. If it works great, right?
  3. If not, then we can do advanced techniques, work on the deeper cause, and install a newer pattern!
  4. The point is all individuals can have sharp focus & can reduce stress in their lives!

I intend to provide you with amazing tools & techniques which have been my friend & can be yours as well!

Just don't give up, DO & Make the CHANGE, so that you and your family can Live Life to the Fullest!

What questions can I ask myself when I am in Negative Patterns

We live in a world where more than 80% of people are busy with their everyday activities and hardly have time

When You are under stress Ask yourself:

  • Is it useful
  • whats the intention
  • what can I do now
  • What my intention
  • How can I shift now
  • what do I want
  • What triggering this?
  • Is it under my control?

Let me know your thoughts in the comment section & Live your life to the fullest!

Absolutely, the anticipation of work can often create more stress than the work itself. It's empowering to find techniques and tools to manage stress effectively, leading to noticeable improvements in both business and personal performance.
