The Top Five regrets of the Dying by Bronnie Ware
This book fits well in the hands of a person who is attempting to #slowdown #letgo & live an #informed #aware life.
The contents in the books says it all. And you just have to glide through the book to absorb the validation.
As per author, the following are the Top 5 regrets
1. "I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me."
2, "I wish I hadn't worked so hard."
3. "I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings."
4. "I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends."
5. "I wish that I had let myself be happier."
I have picked up a few lines / paragraphs which I felt will make more sense in the context of the above topic. Read them slowly & feel free to express your comments.

BW: Wherever we are, our environment influences us enormously, if we hand around long enough. (P-61)
MP: Absolutely true. The community you are circled with, friends, city, thoughts, people, school, work, etc. These defines your thoughts & thoughts leads your action.
BW: While most people may not live trapped in a bed, it is possible to create a life where the traps that hold us back are self-created and desperately need releasing. (P-76)
MP: Many a times we are trapped in our dark-thoughts which results in attracting negativity. Best way is to change your surroundings including people & your habits.
BW: All men are boys. (P-87) The chase of closing a deal had also become a bit of an addition. (P90) Why do we depend so much on the material world to validate us? (P-92)
MP: All men are boys. All women are girls. What it means is that the boys & girls are made to believe that they are growing-up to earn. Wealth creation takes over life creation. And by the time they realize the trap, they are with Ms. Bronnie Ware talking about the regrets. How much we need is a question you have to ask.
BW: People play the victim forever. (P101) Money is so misunderstood. It keeps people in the wrong job. (P103)
MP: Instead of taking charge of our life or courage to design our life, we often fall prey to a victim mindset. And once we are there (in that mindset), we accept our regretful life choices.
BW: We must learn to express our feelings now. (P196)
MP: We have forgotten to express our feelings for others & for ourselves as we grow up. One of my fav quote since childhood is 'I am not only to be loved but also to be told that I am loved.'

BW: Just because someone doesn't respond the way you wish, that doesn't mean you should regret the attempt to express yourself. The reaction of others is their choice, just as our own reactions are no one else's responsibility. (P163)
MP: We all have expressed our love & emotions to our young children without an iota of expectations. It is because our love for them is paramount. And then why do we expect an immediate validation of our expression from others.
BW: Honesty is rewarded, even if it is not in the way you anticipate. (P167) Courage and honesty are always rewarded. (P167)
MP: I am a strong advocate of Law of attraction. My integrity & compassion attracts such people in my life which results in so many intangible benefits.
BW: They had so much to think about and to absorb that sometimes conversation could just get in the way. (P184)
MP: We need true friends. Not too many friends. If you can have a good unfiltered, non judgmental conversation with a person, I think you are wealthy. Multi-tasking is a spoiler.
BW: While I was appreciating things at the end of the day when writing them down (Journaling), it had taken commitment to develop the habit of appreciating things as they were happening as well. (P223)
MP: Gratitude is the easiest & fastest way to achieve success. Whatever is your definition of success. Start feeling gratitude for good-things in your daily life. Lets say that you are giving Gratitude to The cosmos. The cosmos give you back the reason of your gratitude. Likewise, you crib, cry & complain, the cosmos give you more such things. Choice is yours.
BW: The freedom to be you is the greatest freedom of all. (P239)
MP: If you are true to yourself, that is it. And this freedom to be you is the greatest power a person can have. This will lead to a fulfilling life without regretting how you lived when the sun comes down.
