On Tour II: Day Two
The second day of the conference (or the third, if you count in the community reception) is over, and here's how it went:
With a full house (despite a late nigh the day before!), we started with a cross-country panel on a topic that every counsel loves: litigation.
Marissa B. Lewis lead and moderated 🎙️ Litigating Clones XC –
Marc Mayer (US), Paul Gardner (UK), Alexandre Rudoni (FR), Tracey Tang (CN) and Sneha Jain (IN) joined Marissa on stage, with Ionut Lupsa (RO) and Yiannis Karamanolis (CY) contributing from the floor.
We then transitioned to another evergreen topic: consumer protection. Leonie Schneider and Konstantin (Konni) Ewald lead and moderated a cross-country panel 🎙️ Subscriptions, DRV & Terms XC (this time their deck was built not on Powerpoint, but on Powercat® and Powerdog®):
Ronald Koo added the US perspective, while, Tamara Sakolchyk and Elena Lefter shared their experience from the in-house point of view.
A cross-country look at the regulation of advertising, and working with streamers specifically, followed: Andrea Dufaure lead and moderated 🎙️ Advertising & Influencers XC 2024, with S. Gregory Boyd and Max Navarro joining her on stage. Additional information was provided from the floor by Michael Boughey (in the format of Human Footnote™).
Thanks to the Cyprus coffee provided by George Charalambous Ltd. (with special thanks to Anastasia Apostolidou in particular!), the audience was fully recharged and enjoying the panel –
Having learned about "GENESIS DOES WHAT NINTENDON'T", we then proceeded to the cross-country look at working with talent (including SAG-AFTRA), with Darya Firsava leading and moderating 🎙️ Talent Agreements XC:
Joining Darya on stage were Dana Hooker and Sean F. Kane :
The next topic was about regional incentives – and when you may have to go to court to collect them. The unstoppable legal machine also known as Philipp Park lead and moderated 🎙️ Execution of Regional Incentives:
Joining him on stage were Michael Boughey (Australia), Marie-Hélène Tremblay (Canada), Andrew Etcovitch (Canada), Roman Zanin (Wargaming), Paul Gardner (UK) and George Mountis (Cyprus):
Most of the panels this year were followed by 15-minute coffee breaks, which worked great for getting to know your colleagues from another region:
We then continued with the sequel to one of the most upvoted panels from the Warsaw edition – 🎙️ Deceptively Obvious 2.0 XC. This collection of war stories was lead and moderated by S. Gregory Boyd –
Joining Dr. Boyd on stage were Paul Gardner , Nicoletta Serao , Tobias Schelinski , Nick Allan and Ryan Black :
The audience learned about when Early Access is not a first release...
And also about how to tell that your conference call with Tokyo goes off-script...
We also pondered on whether Discord messages work for contractual delivery of milestones...
And went through cases that cracked up even the presenters on stage.
The last panel of the day was dedicated to hiring talent, and the advantages that come with being able to work people that are not the exact clones of the already existing team.
Evelina Georgiades lead and moderated 🎙️ Beyond the Echo Chamber –
Joining her on stage were Sneha Jain , Jan-Peter Ewert and Katya Nemova .

We heard stories from two law firms and two studios, and debated the approach to bias and leading changes by example.
This 14th panel of the conference closed the formal program: it was the time to open the bar and start counting the votes, based on which we would determine the 3 most upvoted panels of the conference (Audience Choice Awards) – this time, we use anonymous printed ballots on-site.
While the attendees were having fun outside...
We finished counting the votes, and borrowed a forklift (as we already disassembled the stage and the microphones)...
The view from the top was pretty great!
Finally, we got high enough to announce the winners:
Summit On Tour II – Audience Choice Awards:

A Big Thank You!
And with that, Summit On Tour II is over:
Two and a half days of learning from experts and meeting peers from 37 different countries (a very games industry thing to do, if you ask me).
Thanks to everyone who made it possible! And special thanks to Mario Evangelides for being such a wonderful host at the Carob Mill and to fiona bakker and the whole team at Zambartas Wineries for the hospitality!
Thanks to all the friends on the ground who assisted with every aspect of organization (especially Evelina Georgiades, George Mountis and the whole team at Chrysostomides Advocates & Legal Consultants Roman Zanin, Yiannis Karamanolis & Andreas Karamanolis) – we would not have pulled this off without your help!
Thanks to the community board for all the comments and the overall direction of the program (in particular to my partners in crime Tobias Schelinski , Paul Gardner , Jan-Peter Ewert and Katya Nemova ). Thanks to the moderators for preparing and delivering the top-class content, and to all the expert speakers who came to share their experience with the peers – you are the real heart of this community!
Finally, thanks to all the sponsors who made it possible to run the event at its current level of production quality – your support is mission-critical in allowing us to keep running these community events!
What's next?
As the advertising panel taught us, if you liked Summit On Tour II in 🇨🇾 Limassol in 2024... you just may like Summit On Tour III in 🇮🇹 Rome in 2025? 😜
I'm happy to say that the registration fees remain the same, and that the registration is already OPEN (here). Speriamo di vedervi lì!
With best regards – and see you around!
