Towards Greener Tomorrow: World Nature Conservation Day
Nature is the alpha and omega of life. We humans came into being out of nature. Without nature, mankind or any other kind, cannot exist for even a single second. Everything that we possess, including ourselves, belongs to nature, starting from the air that we breathe every moment to the water that we drink. Nature has gifted us so much - food, fruits, vegetables, clothes, wood, iron, gold, diamonds, and after receiving so much from the generous hands of nature, it is the PRIMARY DUTY of every individual to take care of nature.
Today is World Nature Conservation Day, and today is also World Parents' Day - I wonder why they celebrate these two occasions together. Is it because nature has parented us for long enough, but we haven't recognized nature as the ultimate parent of our species. I think God loves us so much that he has given every living being something to cherish, something to enjoy for free - and that all of it comes from nature.
Not only is nature the supplier of our sustenance, it is also the paint that weaves colorful designs around our survival. The blue sky, the orange sunset, the white clouds, the green meadows, the silvery rivers and moon, the vibrant rainbow and flowers; all these vivid entities don't just make our life poly chromatic, but also bring in priceless of fun, peace, joy, and serenity for us to enjoy!
When we visit the mountains, we feel refreshed from our city life. All the exhaustion that comes from living our life like machines in the cities gets swayed away simply by visiting the heart of Nature, just like a small baby feels refreshed and secure simply with a touch from his loving mother. Nature, along with all its resources, keeps us growing, strong, joyful and peaceful.
Then, why is mankind so thankless that it fails to take responsibility to preserve it and keep it safe, just like a good son stands by his old mother. If nature is our mother, then what are we doing for it? Due to the greed and desires of the children, the mother is losing its health, and the narrow-sighted children fail to see that their very survival will be impossible without the love of Mother Nature.
Nature is indispensable for us, it is the source of our life, we cannot ignore it any further.
