UDAN 2.0 aims to enhance regional air connectivity by developing underutilized airstrips, reducing costs, easing regulations, incentivizing operators, and extending affordable, last-mile air travel beyond 2026.

UDAN 2.0 focuses on last-mile air connectivity by developing cost-effective infrastructure for over 100 underutilized airstrips.

Lower running costs for small regional airports and advanced landing grounds (ALGs).

Reduces entry barriers for airlines, helicopters, and seaplane operators to foster affordable fares.

Facilitated 1.44 crore passengers and 2.8 lakh flights; operational airports increased from 74 (2014) to 157 (2024), targeting 350–400 by 2047.
