Unlock $100M Deals: How My Realtor Podcast Changed Everything
Starting a podcast might sound overwhelming or unnecessary, but I’m here to tell you it’s not only worth it—it’s a game-changer. I launched my podcast, Real Estate Riches, to connect with other successful agents and learn from them. It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I’m going to break down exactly why.
The Mission Behind My Podcast
Every podcast has a mission. Mine? To help Realtors, like you and me, learn from the best in the business. I interview agents who are at the top of their game—no part-timers here! I’m talking about people who have real insights to share, from tips on building a strong business to secrets for staying ahead in a tough market.
Every Wednesday, like clockwork, I record my podcast. It’s about consistency, folks. I have a team that helps me find guests, but I also handpick people I find fascinating and know will add value to the conversation. These are people who inspire me, and their stories have taught me so much.
How a $100 Million Opportunity Found Me
Let me share the story that blew my mind. I was interviewing a luxury agent from Maryland—a total powerhouse who specializes in both local and global markets. This woman spoke five languages (impressive, right?) and had an incredible background: raised in Bangladesh, educated in London, and now crushing it in the U.S.
During our pre-recording chat, she said, “Kath, I think you’re someone I can share this with.” She then told me she was part-owner of a bank that provides loans starting at $100 million. A hundred million! These loans are for high-level investors looking to get their money working.
The bank, based in Irvine, California, was sitting on what they call "dry powder"—an abundance of funds ready to be deployed. Here’s the kicker: I could earn a commission just for connecting her with the right people. Naturally, I ran it by my attorney and CPA to make sure it wouldn’t impact my real estate license, and they gave me the green light.
So, I started talking. I introduced her to a contact in Portugal, who then connected me to someone in India. The calls kept coming. This morning, I spoke with a developer in Portugal about a $65 million opportunity. All of this happened because of my podcast.
Why Podcasts Work for Realtors
The connections I’ve made since starting my podcast are phenomenal. Every guest becomes part of my network. I collect their headshots, contact info, and follow them on social media. When I share the podcast content, I tag them, and they do the same for me. This mutual sharing expands our reach and boosts visibility for both of us.
Podcasts also open doors to other opportunities. I’ve been invited onto other people’s podcasts, which further expands my audience. The ripple effect is real—it’s a chain reaction of connections and exposure.
How I Make Podcasting Simple
Now, let’s talk logistics. Don’t overthink this! My setup is straightforward: a Zoom camera, some good lighting, and a clean background. I batch my work, recording smaller videos and podcast episodes every Wednesday.

I don’t edit the content myself. That’s what my team handles. I send them the raw video, and they polish it up, chop it into segments, and distribute it across platforms. They even create social media snippets. The key is to stay focused on what you’re good at: connecting and sharing your knowledge.
Time Management and Commitment Are Key
If you’re thinking about starting a podcast, know this: consistency is non-negotiable. I’ve stuck to my weekly schedule because I know the value it brings. Whether you’re interviewing guests or sharing your own insights, set aside dedicated time and stick with it.
You also need to think about your mission. Who do you want to help? What stories or insights do you want to share? For me, it’s all about empowering Realtors with actionable advice and connecting them to game-changing opportunities.
Your Turn to Shine
Podcasts aren’t just a fun side project—they’re a powerful tool for growing your business. They help you build relationships, expand your network, and establish yourself as a thought leader in real estate.
