Introducing LASSO Proposals: Give your proposals a facelift

Quoting events based solely on “the numbers” isn’t doing you any favors in today’s event landscape. To truly compete — and charge what you are worth — you must sell the value of the events you produce

”Quoting” events, the old way:

➤ This is a list of our impressive gear!

➤ Here is the pricing for our impressive gear and “labor”

➤ Sending the quote with no tracking or confirmation of receipt.

“Proposing” events, the new way:

✔︎ Position the value of your team, their experience, and ability to execute by using images, video, and other visual content.

✔︎ Have complete flexibility in how you display your pricing

✔︎ Gain insights into engagement with your proposal (opens, time spent reviewing, capture client comments, etc.)

✔︎ Close more business!

Lesser-known ways to optimize your crewing workflow and maximize your bottom line

Is your crewing workflow bleeding your budget dry?

We’ll help with the math.

Answer 7 questions about your crewing workflow and we'll break down how much you could save across these 3 categories:

  1. Soft costs You know that clunky process you have scheduling your crew and then processing the time they worked so you can finally bill your client? Yeah, that's costing you more than you think.
  2. Hard costs Death by a thousand cuts: change orders that go unbilled, rounding minutes worked while in overtime, and our favorite out of control travel costs.
  3. Opportunity costs Saying no to bad business is a good practice. Saying no to good business because you can't support it? Not so much.

[🎙 Podcast] The worst trend in the events industry right now

There have been a lot of discouraging stories out there recently about slow payments to our industry's freelancers. In this episode of Corralling the Chaos, Angela stresses the importance of on-time, fair pay for crew, recognizing their value and confronting late payment practices.

✅ Pay your people fairly & quickly

Your people are the backbone of your company. Without them, you don't have a company, much less successful events.

⏳Don't let freelancers be the last in line

Freelancers should be the first to be paid, not the last. Create a positive work culture and attract top talent by paying on time.

  ✋ Stop supporting bad behavior

Working with agencies that don't prioritize fast, fair pay compromises talent quality. Support those that value and protect their workforce through fair compensation and safe conditions.
