Upskilling is not an Option
#UPSKILLING is a continuous process and any stagnation in the same will be reflected in a career stagnation.
--> 5 Critical Reasons for Upskilling:
1. Technological Advancements: Rapid technological changes require updated skills to remain relevant and competitive in the job market. Think new age tech.
2. Job Evolution: Jobs are evolving due to automation and AI. Upskilling ensures you're equipped for new job requirements. Jobs now require you to do more with less (less resources, less time, less supervision ... )
3. Career Progression: Learning new skills opens doors to higher positions and increased responsibilities. Here, the right skills matter. As you grow up and go up, more and more managerial skills are needed and beyond that, strategic skills become prominent. Grow in the right direction.
4. Industry Demands: Industries are shifting, and upskilling helps meet changing demands and stay aligned with trends. New skill sets are required and old ones are taken over by automation and AI. Working with AI is a new skill, and so is managing remote teams.
5. Personal Growth: Learning fosters personal growth, boosts confidence, and keeps the mind sharp and adaptable. This is entirely personal reason but the confidence boost spills over all aspects of life.
If these pointers scared you enough to propel you into immediate action,
then let me share something for you to breathe easy and relax.
Upskilling is not as difficult as you might have thought.
Start with simple ways to do it and
then move to advanced ways.

1yGood article Hemant Jain, Success Coach . One of the upskilling styles you have mentioned in your article - ie Microlearning - this definately appeals to me - learning in small doses through short articles, podcasts & reels. Connecting the dots while microlearning is also very important.
