Utopia with Travis scott

After the Astroworld tragedy in November, Rapper Travis Scott is now gearing up to release his new album “Utopia”. Slowly stepping into the limelight again, the rapper talks about the album and what fans should expect from it. Diving deep, the rapper during his cover story for the September issue of CR Men spoke about “Utopia” and what his album is all about, he said “Medicine, nursing, being a better person, talking, language, communication, a Utopian state” that’s what his album will contain.

The idea behind the album, is to spread happiness and hope for an improved world by amending “miscommunication, non-communication, non-understandable communication, ignorance to communication”. And with growing times, communication gap or lack of effective communication between people is seamlessly escalating. Travis also speaks about the dystopian state, the kind of state where its all hate and he also questions where this hate is drawn from? One sole reason to create “Utopia”, which is in contrast with the current society we live in today. But major inspiration was drawn from his 3year old daughter with Kylie Jenner, Stormi, who is being raised with “natural vibe parenting” more of self-discipline, and her habits have influenced the making of the album. Although the rapper likes keeping things low-key until the release of any album, but this time he keenly spoke about the new beats his working on, making beats, working on his own beats and trying to get everything together and grow. He is also set to bring some unnamed, new people to work with him to “expand the sound”. Enthusiastically, Travis also mentioned how the album has turned out to be a fun process, allowing him to “evolve, collaborate with new people, and deliver a whole new sound with a whole new range”.

Travis Scott, interestingly expresses his determination for creating a new sound and how the pandemic event has given him the space to be creative and think of new sounds. Being home, getting the studio home, break from tours and concerts allowed him to be way more productive than before. The long- awaited album will finally be released at the end of this year and fans seem to be head over heels already for Utopia!
