Not V- We formation is way to go!

Looking at sky, a flock of birds passing and  all moving in one direction in V shape. It strike with the air crafts on parade also fly in V formation, which is known as Vic formation. Why V formation from nature to air crafts. 

Birds generally use V formation while their long migration for decreasing the induced drag which increases efficiency. This formation assists each bird when the 1st bird gets tired the other bird will take over the place.

There are possibly 2 reasons why birds fly in a V formation: It makes their flight easy, or they are just chasing the leader. planes’ Squadrons can save fuel by making a V formation, and various scientists suspect that migrating birds generally do the same. Models that tool flapping birds like fixed-wing planes approximate that they will save energy by drafting off, but currents made by airplanes are more stable. The 1st bird flight is in upwash, the wingtip vortices i.e. circular patterns of rotating air generates good lift, it increases the flight range of 70 percentages.

Military aircrafts 1st used this formation during world war 1, Other formations increase more casualties. Closed V formation strengthens the defensibility of fliers, it let them remain together while poor visibility and for communicating by hand signals. Before World War II, the RAF thought that they could use a three-ship Vic in close formation as a way to easily down enemy bombers

What would you do with a seventy percent increase in effectiveness, efficiency or productivity?  Is it possible to team fly like a V formation, where each team member takes strength from the other members?  Where each bird follows into the direction of the team?  Where team victory outweighs individual performances?

Here are 4 steps to a V-We formation in your company:

Set a path and communicate the goal.  Establish a company strategy, communicate the plan to the company and describe the tactics needed to ensure success.  Communicate it again.  Then communicate it again.  You can’t over-communicate your goals, company strategy and how you describe success.  Communication is the key to success. You are communicating your mission.  Nothing is more important.

Make sure you’ve the right birds in the flock.  You don’t usually see eagles in a similar formation.  They aren’t compatible and it just doesn’t work.  Not everybody has to be the same in your organization but they do have to be bought into the direction.  Employees are your advocates.  The appropriate measures will make sure you have the accurate birds in the right formation.

Share your strength.  The lead bird has to drop back and regain energy at some point during the trip.  This bird does not stay in the front due to ego.  The bird which is a leader knows the mission, knows when to allow someone to take the lead, and the success of the team is more essential than individual accolades.  Delegation of activities means the team can go stronger, faster and longer. 

The birds in the sky, the ones all flying together in a great V, have a unified approach, know their team’s goals, understand the tactics wanted to succeed, and trust that every teammate will do their part to make the team successful.  When they reach milestones, they celebrate success. It is great if we all flap at the same time, in the same direction, and for the same reason to achieve goals.  Successful companies fly in a WE formation.
