WAGFG announces key partnership with Tourism Western Australia

The West Australian Good Food Guide announces a content partnership with Tourism Western Australia.

This exciting partnership sees the West Australian Good Food Guide (WAGFG) team up with Tourism WA to promote Western Australia’s food and drink talent to the nation.

The partnership will lead to the creation of high-quality online content, created by some of Australia’s most respected journalists.

Georgia Moore, Director of the West Australian Good Food Guide commented:

“We’re so proud to announce this partnership with Tourism Western Australia. We share a common desire to celebrate the best in Western Australian food and drink including world-class producers, high-end dining, casual hospitality, established names within the global wine market and up-and-coming talent.”

“In recent years we’ve widened our reach in engaging creative talent and shaped a truly world-class editorial team including journalists and editors who regularly work with The Guardian, The New York Times, Gourmet Traveller, delicious and The Australian.

“This editorial strength and quality is at the heart of our work and we’re thrilled that Tourism Western Australia is supporting a Western Australian owned media platform.”

“Through our partnership with Tourism Western Australia, we’re looking forward to welcoming a roster of internationally renowned chefs to our State for a special dining series, highlighting WA producer talent.

“The most important aspect of this partnership for us is giving Western Australian food and drink talent a spotlight on the national stage and driving commercial outcomes for operators and owners.

“The partnership will see WAGFG create culinary itineraries and articles, including road trips for Tourism WA and supply high-quality food and beverage content including imagery and venue reviews to the Tourism WA digital platforms. This content will be targeted to national audiences, and in turn build the profile of WA's food and drink offering.”

 Tourism Minister David Templeman commented:

“Enjoyable food and wine experiences rate highly on the wish-lists of travellers and can help create a positive reputation for tourism destinations and an unforgettable holiday experience.

“This new partnership will make sure Tourism WA serves up authentic and enticing content online, which is where people are increasingly making their travel and dining decisions.

"Many jobs in the tourism industry are in hospitality, so it’s vital that we innovate and secure partnerships like this one to make sure the sector stays strong.”
