Want New Answers to the Challenges You Face?
The challenges the business world is facing right now are enormous. The challenges we face personally are also enormous.
All of it can seem overwhelming and can cause us to freeze, put our heads down and just keep going with what we know. That is certainly one way to proceed. I’ll off another.
As we explore and know who we truly are – One-with-All-That-Is, we open to a world of possibility that previously wasn’t known to us. It was available; we just didn’t know it or live as if it were.
As I speak about the OneBeing that we are and the essence of who we are, (called nonduality in wisdom traditions) I am often asked about the practical implications and applications. This is one – a new perspective about reality.
And as with any new perspective, possibilities are available that weren’t before. Once I understood nonduality, everything was different; I don’t see or experience the world in the same way. I have ideas I could never have imagined before.
“Life has everything in it. But you only see what your perception allows you to see.”
- Bruce Lipton, PhD
How do we access this “everything,” the possibilities that we might not be able to imagine right now?
First, we open to the teachings (confirmed by science) that we are all One, meaning that we are one with each other, with all ideas, all possibilities, infinite intelligence and wisdom, i.e., one with the Universe.
If the Universe = Infinite Wisdom and Intelligence
And
I = the Universe
Then
I = Infinite Wisdom and Intelligence
The Universe knows what to do. You know what to do. There are answers here.
How do we access them?
First, we stop analyzing and assessing and thinking about and trying to figure out.
Then, we allow ourselves to be still and silent.
Yes, that is very challenging.
What I have found is just how difficult it is to do what I suggest: to be still, silent, patient, trusting and allowing, rather than get into action and do something.
I am not talking about meditating, although meditating regularly can make this somewhat easier. Many have been taught to focus on a mantra, the breath, or a candle to meditate, and those ways all require a focusing of attention.
I am talking about literally, sitting down, being still and silent, relaxing the focusing of attention and allowingideas to come to us. They may not come to us when we are being still, but by opening to the spaciousness, and being still over time we are better at “hearing” nudges, ideas and whispers of possibilities throughout the day.

As we begin to be still, we will find that conditioned thoughts and feelings also come to us. Historically, those get our attention and focus and make it challenging to access innovative ones.
A useful analogy is the sky and clouds. Clouds represent thoughts, feelings, activities and relationships. The sky represents infinite intelligence and wisdom.
Most of us generally focus our attention on these “clouds.” If the sky is covered by many clouds and those keep our attention, then we only occasionally see the patch of blue. The clouds veil the sky, just as our attention on thoughts, feelings, activities, and so on keep us from receiving wisdom and universal intelligence.
We want to relax the focus of attention. Not focusing on anything. We find when we do so that patterned thoughts and feelings arise. We allow them to be just as they are, without focusing on them. At first this can be very challenging, but over time we naturally allow the thoughts and feelings to flow through us just as clouds flow through the sky.
The more we relax our attention, we begin to notice what is in the background of the thoughts and feelings, just as the sky is in the background of the clouds. We notice the spaciousness within which the thoughts and feelings arise.
We experience the spaciousness and the freedom and the aliveness and the openness that is in the background. That is who we truly are – AND that is where the answers reside.
That is where a new understanding of who we are and the OneBeing we are can make a profound difference.
We don’t have to develop ourselves to be more creative or better thinkers or get ourselves outside the box. The answers are already here. We just have to open to them.
You are already wise beyond measure, intelligent beyond measure. I don’t mean the egoic self. I mean the self that is your essential nature, one with everything. That self is the Universe.
You have probably experienced a time in your life when you had an out-of-the-blue insight, idea or “intuitive” sense about something that proved invaluable.
That’s what I’m talking about. Yes, I’m not emphasizing the word “intuition,” as that has become something to do and to develop. I’m inviting a different approach, i.e., a knowing that you already are able to sense into what wants to happen.
We can live that way all the time – the Universe can give us guidance. We open ourselves and be still, quiet and allowing.
Where to Go from Here
1. Sit down, close your eyes and be still. When you notice thoughts and feelings arise, gently say, “Relax the focus of attention,” and allow the thoughts and feelings to move through you just as clouds move through the sky. Do this for whatever period of time you desire – 5 minutes, 20 minutes, an hour. And whenever it occurs to you to do so.
2. Be patient with yourself. It can be quite challenging in the beginning.
3. You can ask for guidance about a particular situation, and trust ideas will come to you at the appropriate time.
4. Whenever you notice you are trying to get yourself “to come up with an answer,” gently remind yourself that the wisdom will come to you.
5. If you fall back into the old habit of trying to solve problems, return to this whenever it comes to you to do so. Over time, this new way will become natural.
