We require an Experienced, Motivated hands-on Restaurant Manager

The Gates Restaurant, an award-winning and hatted restaurant situated in Leogate Estate in Pokolbin, seeks an experienced and professional Restaurant Manager for a long-term position.

The restaurant features an impressive menu and wine list.  Open weekends and weeknights for lunch and dinner, and open for lunch on weekdays with a courtyard café menu.

Do you have?

·       Extensive experience as a manager

·       Managing a team of passionate and friendly food and beverage staff

·       Staff training and upselling,

·       Rostering

·       Co-ordinating functions and events

·       Minimising waste management in an environmentally responsible manner

·       Maintaining a professional and relaxed atmosphere

·       Treating our patrons with pleasant familiarity

Visitation to the Hunter Valley is very much geared towards weekends, and availability to work throughout weekends is essential. Further, a good knowledge of wines and the workings and importance of social media in a competitive environment is most desirable. Leogate Estate is somewhat out of town, and a driver’s licence is necessary.

Reporting directly to the Directors, and liaising with the Head Chef and kitchen team on menu design, candidates for this position will be required to participate in the senior management team at Leogate Estate. The restaurant is an integral part of Leogate Estate’s trading operations, and candidates will have to communicate with other senior staff in a collegiate manner.

The position carries an attractive remuneration package for the right candidate, including a superior salary, superannuation, and a very comfortable family residence on-site. There are several well-regarded schools in the district.
