Webflow Conf 2024 Breakdown
Webflow announced many cool stuff at this year's Webflow Conf 2024 and we finally have AI implementation which is something everybody was looking for.
Let's break it down to see some major updates that will happen in Webflow and how can we use them in our projects:t
1. WEBFLOW ANALYZE
This is a great update for all websites built in Webflow simply because we all need analytics and now can be integrated in Webflow natively. This means it's much easier to implement and there is no need for a custom code that ruins your website performance. There is also update in privacy with third-party cookies which can be combined with cookie tools from DataGrail and Finsweet.
The downside of this is that it's another tool you need to pay for and starts with $29/month and it's available for all plans.
2. WEBFLOW OPTIMIZE
Finally A/B testing tool that is native to Webflow, I've been waiting for this for a long time! Tool is also powered by AI that can help you run parallel tests and learn about your users in real time and adjust experience for them and can focus on every user individually, how cool is that! On the top of that you can import and export all the information you need and can be combined with Wefblow Analyze.
Now, I did expected this tool to not be free and we can argue if it's too expensive or not. It's available for all plans and starting price is $299/month.
3. AI ASSISTANT
This is expected featured since Webflow was the only one that didn't had many AI powered tools and we all kinda felt they will be announced during Webflow Conf and can be used for design and writing.
AI in Design
It can help you generate page sections using existing design system, which is super cool. This allows you to quickly generate sections like pricing tables, forms, testimonials, etc. that you can further customize if you want. I'm not sure how much will be used by designers and developers, but it's definitely very useful to marketing teams to build pages faster. Currently, design use of AI Assistant is free to use on all plans, but will be a paid featured once it's our of beta.
AI in Writing
With generative AI, Assistant can generate copy for you and speed up content population on pages and CMS collections much faster by staying with the tone of voice you're currently having on a website. This will be used not only by marketers but designers and developers as well, who don't want help with the copy after all. Like Design use of AI Assistant, it's free to use while in beta, but will be a paid feature once is officially released.
4. WEBFLOW + GSAP
This is great news because they will be investing in animations and interactions a lot in the future, but there are no changes for that yet. I assume we'll see updates for this early next year or next Webflow Conf.
There are many other small things they announced which you can read on their blog post if you want to dive in details, but these are the biggest announcements.
We're certainly excited about this and can't wait to start implementing these features on our and clients' websites.
