The Weekly Whirlwind: Top 10 Things You Missed Last Week 🌪️

Hey there, and welcome to another jam-packed edition of The Weekly Whirlwind! 🎉

Why am I doing this? Because doom scrolling is out, and staying informed (while having a little fun) is in. So, buckle up and let’s dive into the top 10 things that happened last week!

1. Hezbollah Turns Up the Heat in the Middle East

Who: Hezbollah militants, Israeli military

What: A spike in rocket attacks and military strikes

When: October 14–20, 2024

Why: Because peace isn’t exactly trending in this region

How: Rockets fired by Hezbollah, and Israel responded with force

Wow: Over 10 rockets in a day? This is heating up fast.

If you thought things in the Middle East were tense, well, buckle up. Hezbollah is back at it, launching rockets across the Israel-Lebanon border like it's the world’s most dangerous fireworks show. In response, Israel didn’t hesitate—they retaliated with airstrikes. Over the past week, this back-and-forth has led to more than 10 rockets being fired in just one day. The international community is watching nervously.

Civilians are feeling the brunt of it, with injuries, property damage, and evacuations ramping up in the affected areas. As of now, neither Hezbollah nor Israel is backing down, and we’re all hoping this doesn’t spiral further out of control.
