These questions will help me understand the motivation and strategy.

WhatsApp (Product + Goals)

WhatsApps value prop has always been its private, simplistic, ad-free experience. Introducing ad-revenue could potentially harm this experience leading to drops in retention.

We can assume from the question that increasing ad-revenue will decrease retention but our goal is to minimize this.

1. General Consumers

Our most common user group - individuals for personal messaging, groups chats, video calls, voice calls etc.

2. Business Users (SME)

Communicate with customers, manage orders, provide customer support, and send marketing messages.
