Hundreds of thousands of passengers commute daily in airliners across the globe, so the possibility of misplacing or forgetting their items or luggage onboard the flight is not small by any means. Today we look at some bizarre items that people have forgotten on flights. These items will not only make you think about forgetfulness but also make you wonder about the sheer absurdity of such items being present on a flight. 

Smart Toaster 

An appliance which would be more suited on a counter of a modular kitchen, these smart toasters can be controlled by smartphones and are often kept in the overhead bins by the passengers. Often, the device is usually forgotten by its owners while deboarding. Some might argue that such electronic items are forbidden on flights, but they can be taken in checked luggage. 

Birds 

There have been instances where people have forgotten live birds like parrots and falcons on flights and in airports. People travelling with pets tend to use animal carriers which at times they forget about in the hurry to pick up essentials like phones and purses. 

Wall Projectors 

One can endlessly wonder about the need for a wall projector on a flight and arrive at no solid conclusion. Despite its obvious absurdity, it is an electronic item that has been forgotten quite a few times on flights.  

Prosthetic Limbs 

Travelling with a prosthetic limb in a flight is a difficult experience, which is made even worse if one happens to lose a prosthetic limb. There have been cases where people have forgotten a prosthetic leg on a flight.

When a camera intended to be used on a space shuttle for NASA was found with all its advanced sensors and protective casing, this was the most interesting thing to ever be found on a flight. Thankfully for everyone, it was returned to the space agency. 

Eggs 

There are instances when one might be in a hurry to catch an early morning flight and would feel the need to skip breakfast. Someone in this situation decided to keep eggs for flight in the most unusual fashion, without any cover or shell. Such eggs have been forgotten on flights. 

Bag of Onions 

It appears that one would require some onions to enjoy their on-flight eggs thoroughly. You may be surprised to know that people have forgotten bags of onions on flights. 

Intimate Accessories  

To the surprise of many, intimate accessories such as pleasure toys have also been found in flights. Although they make for interesting gossip among the crew, they are deposited in the lost and found section like every other forgotten item. 

Bag of Sand 

One can make sense of the eggs and onions for breakfast reasons in humour at least, but what would one need sand for on a flight remains a mystery. A bag filled with sand was once found unclaimed in the luggage. 

Karaoke Set  

Due to its large and bulky nature, it is easy to forget a karaoke set among other necessary items. It is interesting to note that most electronic gadgets mentioned on this list were intended for entertainment rather than some practical purpose.
