What’s in your event survival pack?

Event planners, we’ve all been there—long days, non-stop problem-solving, and somehow still needing to look like we’ve got it all together. 😅 That’s where the event marketing survival pack comes in. Whether it’s for you or your team, here’s what you’ll want to pack to survive (and thrive) during those hectic event days:

  • Snacks galore: Think protein bars, trail mix, or anything that keeps you fueled and focused. You can’t run on coffee alone...or can you? ☕
  • Chargers & power banks: Your phone, laptop, and walkie-talkie are your lifelines. Keep them juiced up with extra chargers and power banks.
  • First aid & meds: Bandaids for blisters, Advil for those inevitable headaches, Tums for that extra spicy lunch, and anything else that keeps you feeling 100%.
  • Notebook & pens: Sure, everything’s digital now, but sometimes you just need to jot something down fast. A trusty notebook is always handy.
  • Mini sewing kit: Because wardrobe malfunctions happen, and no one wants to walk around with a missing button or a ripped seam.
  • Hydration & caffeine: Stay hydrated with water bottles, and don’t forget that stash of energy drinks or coffee pods for those mid-day slumps.
  • Comfortable shoes: You’ll be on your feet all day—so skip the fancy shoes and go for comfort. Your feet will thank you later. 👟
  • Mints/gum: Stay fresh for those last-minute meetings and conversations. No one wants to network with coffee breath. 😉
  • Event essentials: Business cards, backup schedule, attendee list, and any must-have tech tools (adapters, extra laptop). Be the planner who’s always prepared. 📋

I’m sure we are missing some things, but this survival pack is your secret weapon for keeping your cool and crushing it at any event!

Hats off to creative event activations 🧢

We are reflecting on busy event season here at Planwell. One of our favorite activations from this year’s event season? Partnering with Brandmakers for a custom iron-on hat experience at a customer’s trade show booth! This activation wasn’t just about giving away cool swag—it was about creating a fun, interactive moment that kept attendees coming back for more.

Here’s how it worked: Attendees received branded tickets to redeem their custom hat during specific hours when everything was live. They chose from a selection of unique, event-themed patches and got to iron them onto their hats right at the booth. The result? A personalized keepsake that attendees loved, and a bustling booth with great energy and engagement throughout the show. It’s the perfect example of how creative, hands-on activities can elevate your event presence and leave a lasting impression.
