What David Bowie taught David Edelman

What David Bowie taught David Edelman

“If the Core Values are the soul of the organization, the core Purpose (some call it “mission”) gives it heart.”

- Verne Harnish

“Tomorrow belongs to those who can hear it coming”

- David Bowie

Hi friends,

A recent podcast guest of mine, David Edelman, mentioned the following during our chat:

David Bowie is an artist I've admired in terms of all the different phases he went through and the way he surrounded himself with incredibly talented people. Depending on what he was trying to do, he found people who would really push his ideas—and that's something I find so important in business.

I play saxophone in a jazz combo, and I always want to play music with people who are going to push me.

Both of those Davids figured out the following:

Growth comes from evolution.

Greatness is rarely achieved alone.

Check out my David Edelman conversation below. Plus this week I had a great chat with Rennie Colelli about his inspiring journey from a teenage DJ to leading a top-tier AV production company.

Remember, scaling doesn’t have to be hard.

In a recent episode of my podcast, my guest explained a fascinating situation. Here it is: sellers can sometimes be led to believe—by customers—that what they’re selling is extremely expensive

When in fact, what they’re selling really isn't that expensive when compared to the market.

My guest was Casey Brown, a pricing expert, speaker, author, and founder of Boost Pricing, which helps companies generate more profit by empowering entrepreneurs and sellers to command the prices they deserve.
