Advantages and characteristics of Kato excavator

1. Fuel saving

The two items of insufficient coolant alarm and overheating coolant monitor the working condition of the engine cooling system. The oil filter element is blocked and the engine oil pressure is abnormal. The two items monitor the working condition of the engine lubrication system. The working condition is very important for the normal operation of the engine. The project that the filter element of air filter is blocked has more practical significance for excavators that often work in high dust environment. If there is no such item, the air filter element is blocked, which will directly lead to insufficient engine power and increased fuel consumption during operation. The alarm of insufficient fuel surplus is also very practical. If the fuel gauge is inaccurate or fails without this item, once the fuel is exhausted and the air is inhaled during use, the air in the fuel supply system also needs to be discharged after adding fuel, which is a waste of time and more troublesome. The item of abnormal hydraulic oil temperature alarm (lamp and display screen) is also very important, because for full hydraulic excavator, too low or too high hydraulic oil temperature will directly affect the normal operation and life of the hydraulic system. The temperature of hydraulic oil is too low, which may cause the action of hydraulic related mechanisms to lag, slow, or even malfunction; Excessive temperature of hydraulic oil will greatly shorten the service life of relevant parts of hydraulic system, and also increase the possibility of leakage. Once the filter element of the hydraulic oil filter is blocked, the operator can be timely reminded to replace the filter element to ensure the cleanness of the hydraulic oil. It is reported that 70% of the hydraulic system failures are caused by factors such as dirt and impurities in the hydraulic oil. The project of insufficient battery charge is common to excavators.

In a word, the self diagnosis function is just right in terms of project selection and quantity.

3. Real time monitoring of excavator operation.

The combination monitor and multi-function display screen are important components of the APC system. They are installed on the control panel of the cab. They not only have language, text, symbols (international or customary), but also sound and light (alarm light is lit or flashing) alarms, which are very eye-catching.

Example:

(1) If the engine coolant decreases below the specified amount, a picture will appear on the display screen and the alarm lamp will turn on. This alarm message is displayed until the specified amount of coolant is increased by refilling.

(2) When the oil pressure becomes abnormal during the engine operation, the screen will appear again. When this screen appears, the buzzer starts to beep, the alarm light starts to flash, and "The oil pressure of the engine is abnormal, please stop the engine!" will also be played And the buzzer keeps beeping until the engine stops rotating.

It is easy to see from the above two examples that according to the urgency of the alarm content, the APC system of Kato excavator adopts different alarm methods to draw the attention of the operator, or even let the operator take measures immediately. Otherwise, the alarm will continue. The monitor display screen can display various information about the engine condition and other information If the APC (Automatic Output Power Control) system and monitor have no abnormal phenomena and there is no alarm information to be displayed, the "OK" qualified screen will be displayed.

4. The automatic warming function can better protect the engine.

When the system detects that the temperature of the coolant is too low, it will automatically increase the number of engine revolutions, set the required warm-up operation time, and display the remaining automatic warm-up operation time. For example, when the engine needs to be warmed up automatically, the engine will automatically enter the warm up operation state (medium speed), and the screen will appear on the display, showing that the remaining time until the warm up operation is completed is 5min15s. The automatic warming function is convenient, practical and intuitive, and is more suitable for protecting the engine in cold seasons or regions.

5. Three hardware tailored for fuel economy

(1) Controlled by the computer, the torque of the engine is always in the best match with the fuel supply of the #hydraulic pump.

(2) The setting of economic operation mode can make the engine speed be set to the speed that can save the most fuel.

(3) The combination of automatic deceleration mechanism and fast throttle switch greatly reduces fuel consumption. The automatic speed reduction function means that when the operating lever is pulled back to the neutral position, the engine will automatically reduce to the medium speed. The fast throttle switch allows the engine to switch freely between idle speed and preset revolutions.
