What does NO EXCUSES Day mean to YOU?
As we are approaching the month of October, I have asked myself how have I been so committed to showing up when faced with life's obstacles? Have you asked yourself these questions...Why do I keep doing "this"? When am I going to see a breakthrough? How much longer? These questions come in waves like the ocean on a sunny day. Sometimes no warning and the current can take you by surprise. That was my story for 13 years - being tossed around like a sailboat at sea until I found my identity and got clarity about my mission to serve the world in the capacity of an executive coach. It was a easy move to make once I learned to trust my heart- no matter how crazy my plans sounded to others.
It was through my journey that I learned that no one was coming to my rescue. I had to learn to be the hero that I was looking for. It was totally opposite from what I had been living...seeking a life of perfection that was unobtainable. It was the transition from the pressure to knowing it all to asking questions that changed everything for me.
The pressure subsided from striving to be perfect to forgiving myself and accepting my strengths and flaws and realizing that I was ENOUGH just the way that I was. For years, I believed that I had to be perfect for me to be worthy ...it led me down a path of overwhelm, stress and BURNOUT!!! Full transparency has been my Super POWER to help others who are suffering in silence like I once was. I have learned that by telling my story I am simply turning the light on for others who may be feeling ALONE in Darkness.
All of that to say that my mission is more clear today because I recently took a fall down 14 steps in my home-- head first. My only thought when I was unable to reach the rail was that I was going to die or break my neck. Everything happened so fast and it was very traumatic for my 10 year old daughter who witnessed the whole event. But God...I did a flip and landed on my rear end at the base of the steps and my left foot went through the wall. My kids rushed to see if I was ok and as I sat there in shock, I told them to give me a minute to get my composure. I could not believe that I fell from the top of the stairs and landed in a sitting position. What a true miracle AND the hole in the wall was proof that it really happened and NOT A DREAM.
As I gathered my composure, I felt discomfort in my right knee. I was able to get up. Go up the steps and I apply some ice to it. I was amazed that I was not in any pain at all. I rested that evening and the following morning went to the urgent care to get x-rays to get a report that all is well with no breaks or tears. What a blessing!!!! They gave me a knee sleeve to provide extra support as needed but I was truly in gratitude for how God spared my life. I just knew that was unusual for a 53 year old to encounter. Now on day 2 after the adrenaline subsided, I was very sore and felt like I had been beaten with a bat. Yet over the next few weeks I gained my strength and all is well. So now, I am even more passionate about sharing my story and giving others hope that if God could do that for me then He can do it for you too.

I am passionate about extending my platform to others who have made it a mission to share their story to help others. The obstacles of life have given them more clarity and courage to do what they believe they are called to do in this world. Season 3 was phenomenal with powerful testimonies of faith. 30 minutes was only a sample of the insights that they have to share with the world and I encourage you to reach out to each of them to get your own dose of inspiration. #reellifewithoutexcuses #keepitreeltv

One tip I would share to you reading this article- is the power of supporting others. There are so many things we can do that do not cost us a thing: Sharing posts, giving reviews/testimonials, making introductions, supporting events with your attendance, and donating items for door prizes/swag bags. These are just a few ideas on how to help others and create a greater impact in the world. If you have a story to share and would like to be a guest on Season 4 then email me at info@lachelleadkins.com and put Season 4 in the subject line or you can schedule a meeting on my calendar.
In closing, remember that we all have an expiration date so make the most of the time you have and share your gift to help make this world a better place. Keep shining your light in the world. Blessings #americassupermom
