What does IRCC think about my country?
IRCC recently released a new set of objectives that helps illuminate Canada's strategy in the Asia and Americas. This purports to help new immigrants with the immigration process.
IRCC recently released its strategic immigration plan for Asia & the Americas. The goals of this strategy involve collaboration with countries in both regions (particularly around the economy, and aid for refugees and asylum seekers), as well as promoting Canada’s immigration pathways and interests within these regions.
Asia
IRCC's objective in the region is to manage immigration and refugee protection.
It's important for IRCC to develop programs that will allow for a more equitable distribution of newcomers across Canada, one of which includes family reunification. Social integration programs are also an essential consideration because migration from Asia (and other parts of the world) is a growing trend. Through partnerships with partner governments, as well as connecting with communities, IRCC is looking to work towards managing immigration so that it suits Canada's socioeconomic needs.
Over the past few years, Canada has made refugee support and protection a key part of its policy; naming Afghanistan as one of its main priorities. They also talked about genocide in Xinjiang, China, and the Rohingya crises in Myanmar and Bangladesh, saying they will work hard to support those populations.
One of Canada's main goals is to maintain close relationships with other countries. The report lists a number of partner countries and outlines what relations Canada hopes to have with these nations:

The Americas
The mandate of the IRCC in the Americas is focused engagement to maximize Canada's influence in the region, protection of local values while sharing immigration expertise with other countries, and encourage regular immigration to support Canadian economic and social goals.
Every year, Canada will re-engage in the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees' global initiative to allow refugees and at-risk persons from throughout the world to find a new home. Canada pledges to accept up to 700 refugee claimants in 2023 and up to 1,000 in 2024.
Canada is looking to maintain the integrity of its immigration system as it seeks to promote its immigration programs. This will help Canada reach its goals internally while stabilizing the region.
The Canadian government recently announced its immigration levels plan for 2023-2025. This will not only help them achieve the goals outlined in their Asia and America strategy report, but it will also put the concerns voiced by these communities first.
