What Does The World Need Most Of?
Happy Thanksgiving, folks!
If I were to ask you what the world needs most right now, what would you answer?
I think the world needs more people who care about others, and who put the good of all above their own self-interests.
People.
The world needs people. You may be a bit confused by that, but it’s true. The world needs people to make things happen and make things better, but it also needs people who will make things worse for the rest of us. It is the combination of all these factors that give us our current reality, in which some folks are more likely than others to end up in jail or get shot by police officers who have little accountability for their actions.
Love.
Some people think that the world needs more money, peace, or food. But they’re wrong. The world needs love — and not just in theory; everyone needs it in their lives.
Love is a universal language that can unite us all and make us feel less alone in this cold, uncaring universe. It’s hard to feel any kind of emotion when you’re starving or scared out of your mind (or both), but with a partner by your side, you’ll be able to survive anything — literally anything!
Love helps people overcome their differences so they can come together as one united force against whatever challenges they may face together in life: poverty, disease… even death itself!
Compassion.
Compassion is the ability to feel with others. It’s a universal virtue, and it’s lacking in the world today. Compassion isn’t just for the weak or poor; compassion is an important part of being human.
When you practice compassion, you show love and kindness to others without expecting anything in return, simply because they are your fellow human beings who deserve to be treated kindly. If you have ever been mean or rude to someone who was different from you — because they had less money than you; because they came from another country; because their skin was darker than yours; whatever reason — you know that this is wrong: we all need respect and kindness, no matter what our differences may be!

Good Deeds.
Generosity.
Generosity is a virtue that the world needs most. It is a sign of maturity, wisdom, and humanity. Everyone can practice generosity in many ways. You can be generous by giving money, time, or resources to those in need.
Kindness.
Kindness is the virtue of compassion and respect for others. You can show kindness in many ways: by being kind to yourself, to others, and even to animals. It’s important to be kind because it shows that you care about others and their feelings. Being kind also helps people learn how to do good things for others as well.
When someone does something nice for you or gives you a gift, thank them! If they do something bad or mean to you, don’t say anything mean back — just walk away until they calm down. This lets them know that what they did was wrong and helps keep the peace between the two of you. Everyone deserves respect just like everyone deserves love; so be sure to not only treat them with kindness but also treat them equally no matter what race/gender/sexual orientation etc…
The world needs more people who care about others and put the good of all above their own self-interests.
It is a common adage that the world would be a better place if everyone cared about one another, but it’s not always easy to practice that philosophy in our daily lives.
In my personal experience, it’s not easy to let go of your ego and put yourself second so that you can help someone else. But I know from experience that doing so makes you feel better as well as helps others in need. It takes courage, humility and selflessness to do this kind of thing for yourself for no gain whatsoever. People who are willing to make sacrifices like this have an unexpected ability to change the world around them — and those around them benefit from their positive energy!
We need to remember that the world is our home, and it’s important to take care of it. When we do good things for others, it makes us feel good inside because we have a sense of purpose in life. And when other people do good things for us, we feel happy because they make us feel like part of something bigger than ourselves — like we belong here on earth too! So let’s all work together towards a better tomorrow: one where everyone lives happily ever after.

7moI aspire to this, leaving a.lucrative Data Science position to teach for 4 years. The world eventually stomped on me. The reason altruism is what the world currently needs is because society does not reward it, training the workforce to believe it is not a valuable asset. I appreciate the sentiment and entirely agree but have certainly lived it professionally to my dismay
