What are the Eligible Healthcare occupations for category-based selection?

Canada's Healthcare system plays a crucial role in providing quality medical care to its citizens. That is why, the immigration authorities invite thousands of foreign skilled workers to fill in the labor gaps and contribute to the health sector of Canada. As per recent job vacancy data, Canada has 144,500 vacant positions within the healthcare and social assistance sector, which accounts for 17.7% of all vacant positions.

If you are seeking for a role in the healthcare industry, apply for Canada PR visa from India and work as a registered nurse, physician, dental technologist, dentist, pharmacist, and other healthcare occupations.

Category-based Express Entry draw for healthcare professionals

Sean Fraser, the Immigration Minister of Canada, introduced category-based selection draws under Express Entry for skilled immigrants in 6 categories, among which healthcare was one of the categories. Other categories include agriculture and agri-food, trade, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths), French-language proficiency, and transport.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issues invitations to candidates who are eligible for category-based selection in healthcare occupations.

These draws are conducted every 2 weeks and as per the previous draws, the Category-based Express Entry next draw is predicted to be held on July 12th, 2023.
