What Millennials Think About Graduation

Graduation season is upon us. Politicians, celebrities and other notables are preparing their commencement speeches, families and friends are making travel arrangements, and the next class of entrepreneurs, engineers, lawyers and more are set to advance to the next stage in their lives.

Students and recent graduates have been writing about their entrepreneurial ventures, lessons learnedexperiences, and have used the news to write timely posts that are tied to their area of study or expertise. Now we want to hear from you.

One of the most frequent questions I get when talking to millennials or visiting campuses is "What do I write about?" Here's one answer: Graduation.

Looking back, is there anything you wish you knew as a freshman in college? What advice would you give to those still pursuing their degree? What's the best commencement speech you've ever heard? Share your experiences and anecdotes around the topic of graduation.

Check out what these millennials are writing, then join the conversation by writing your own using the hashtag #Graduation somewhere in the the body of your post.

Northwestern student Pete Huang switched his major nine times before finally settling on political science and computer science. His passions were often short-lived, but they were never without a lesson learned. Here he writes about his process for figuring things out.

Some may think my erratic approach implies that I don't know myself yet, but I'd argue that I know myself all too well.

Lily Herman, who was chosen as one of Glamour magazine's top 10 college women, has watched more than 150 commencement speeches over the past couple of years. Though graduation for the Wesleyan junior is still a year away, Herman outlines the makings of a great commencement speech.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm a commencement speaker addict.

As an undergraduate at New York University, Zhangshuai Li spent a lot of his time exploring the world, learning different languages and emerging himself in various cultures. As he prepares to receive his diploma in mid-May, Li shares three things that his global education has taught him.

My curiosity and eagerness to explore trumped my shyness and got me to places I had never thought possible.
