When You Are In It, You Can't Always See It
When you are in it, you can’t always see it
Last week we had the pleasure of catching up with the guys from Pure Physiotherapy where we were discussing our newfound partnership and the role of the First Contact Physio in Primary Care Networks. The opportunities and the challenges.
I have always been super nervous to formally partner with a company, and it's taken me over 7 and half years to do so, but I chose Pure because, after a few years of working together, I trust them; they are great to work both professionally in our Primary Care Networks and personally as I use them for my own physiotherapy.
In our catch-up, Phin Robinson MCSP (the CEO), as usual is bursting with ideas and providing suggestions on how we could be doing things differently. Some of the those ideas were so simple, I felt a bit stupid for not thinking of them myself but sometimes, or often in my case:
a. We don’t know what we don’t know
b. Sometimes you can be too close to see what is right in front of you
c. Often it takes a few of you to bounce things around to find the answer.
The lesson I was reminded of is - Don’t be frightened to accept help and advice, and it’s fun to collaborate and partner with people and organisations in new ways when your values align.
