Why do so many incompetent men become leaders?

Potential causes:

1) Ability to distinguish between

• Competence v/s Confidence
• Leadership v/s Authority
• Adaptive v/s Technical Work

2) The inability to resist the allure of narcissistic individuals with grandiose and megalomaniac vision who tap into our own narcissistic traits.

A possible remedial measure:

Develop competence. humility and integrity.

Integrity is never easy, given the individualistic profit maximization goals leading to a potential cognitive dissonance.
