According to Wikipedia, catfishing refers to the creation of a fictitious online persona, or fake identity with the intent of deception. For age 40+ job seekers, this refers to fictitious jobs and interviews.
Catfishing wastes your time as an age 40, 50, or 60+ job seekers, causing you to invest high levels of your job search time/efforts on jobs and interviews that were never intended to choose a new hire.
