Why We Fast?
There are many reasons why Believers fast, but the most obvious reasons are listed below:
To minister unto the Lord (Acts 13:2, 3)
To increase your faith (Matt. 17:19-21). “And nothing shall be impossible unto you”. During the fast some people have visions of heaven and glory and angels and it greatly increases their faith. “I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth” (Isaiah 58:14)
To give ourselves to prayer (1 Corinthian 7:5)
To walk in the Spirit (Romans 8)
Fasting brings heart-faith to believe in the Words and promises of Jesus.
To have faith to pray for the sick, to lay hands on them and see them healed, delivered of demon oppression.
To obtain faith to be used by the Lord for the salvation of souls. Fasting will bring you faith to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to stay filled with the Holy Spirit, so that He, the Holy Spirit may live His life in and through you.
To obtain faith to be used by the Lord for the salvation of souls.
Fasting will bring us faith to be filled with the Holy Spirit to stay filled with the Holy Spirit so that He, the Holy Spirit may live His life in and through us.
Prayer with fasting is one of the most powerful armor that God has given to each member of His Body.
Fasting and prayer will give you faith to realize in your own life (Isaiah 58:8-14). In these verses God promises us as a result of Biblical fasting.
Revival in our spirit.
A new power of concentration in our mind.
And to restore health to our body.
